  • server config file

    Hi,
I've been using freeciv for a while but on *nix.

I've now got the Win32 GTK version (at work) and I am trying to setup a local server to play by myself.

Is there a standard config file that i can use as a 'quickstart'? I dont fancy having to setup all my server parameters everytime I setup a server.

    Anyone?

Also, could anyone who has already done this please post a copy of their server config files so I can look at it?

    Thanx.

You can write one, and let the server use it with the --read command line option.

      Hi,
Can anyone copy upload a copy of an example server config file or instruct me how to write one?

I have looked round the net and through the helpfiles fruitlessly.

      Thanx.

There are two lying in the data/ directory. They are called civ1.serv and civ2.serv. Basically, you just write your server commands in a text file as if you were typing them in the server.

I dont have those. I can only assume that its not distributed with my version (Win32 GTK2+).

Any idea where I can find one on the net.
