  • Can't load saved game in Linux

I'm playing my first SP v.1.14 game under Mandrake 9.1 with the server autosaving games apparently in the format "civgame-year.sav.gz" in the default save directory. I tried to load the game after quitting. I used the KDE desktop (I could not run civserver from the shell) to run the command "/user/games/civserver -f civgame-0750.sav.gz"

and got the following error message:

error on trying to load game:
"0: bind failed: Address already in use
    ~"

    Any help will be welcome.

    TIA

Please ignore the request as I've solved the problem. It's a path issue that prevented me from issuing the civserver command from the shell.

In the /usr/games directory the command should have been:

    ./civserver -f civgame-0750.sav.gz

The *.gz is an important detail to be included. Obviously the command is not meant to be entered from the KDE run command menu.
