ukshells servers down as of 21:00 (GMT) due to OS upgrade. Will post when back up again! -
E-mail sent to me regarding our cvs server:

Dear Customer
Over the coming months we will be undertaking some major upgrades to
UKShells. These upgrades will update software, add facilities and upgrade
some of the hardware. In addition we are upgrading the network to add
resilience in order to prevent loss of service and to significantly reduce
the effects of Denial of Service attacks.
The first phase of this upgrade will take place this evening (from
midnight). Apologies for the short notice on this one.
It will cause some intermittent connectivity for your shell, and we do
apologise for that. I hope that you appreciate the work is necessary to
enhance the stable and reliable service UKShells offers.
The window for this work will be:
00:01hrs Thursday 9th November 2000 (Wednesday night)
06:00hrs Thursday 9th November 2000 (Wednesday night)
During this window you may notice periods of slow network connectivity.
