Everybody: I had an idea that has to do with the discussion you have above about how policies should be set. It's in the govt model thread. Please take a look at it.

I don't think you corrected any of the problems i mentioned in the other thread that I can see. I still get the minor problem of the window sizes for inputting new civ names, ethinic group names, etc that i haveto resize every time. It isn't much of a problem, but isn't much to fix either. If you want i'll send a screenshot. In fact i'll send ones for everyhing that isn't aligned correctly for 1024x768 on my machine.
Also i still get the problem of not showing what ethnic group is selected.
Something new, but since i was impatent i went ahead and opened a few windows. Anyway they did eventually all open, but when i selected the first one i opened, it wouldn't let me and i had to close all the other ones first. I don't think we should haveto do that atleast for windows that are unrelated and maybe there might later be reasons for opening 2+ windows for cross-referencing.
Anyway it wouldn't let me close the window for making a new ideology, i had to actually make one, which shouldn't be forced on the designer. Its the same with all those small windows. If you want it that way for now, add a delete option for everything.
I built a new religion and it didn't show up on the main window. Actually at some point i couldn't build anything else. Don't remember what I did actually, but it happened. And no matter what, even from the beggining i couldn't build a civ. Maybe that was it. i tried once more to build one. oh well. Actually i could build them, it just wouldn't save the info once the window was closed.
Actually never mind that. Kinda. It did save the info, but it wouldn't display anything till i added the enthic groups.
Hmm...same thing when i added an attribute since i was lacking it. seems it only updates when i add enthic groups now.
Anyway this is all done in the base scerio one at the top.Which Love Hina Girl Are You?
Mitsumi Otohime
Oh dear! Are you even sure you answered the questions correctly?) Underneath your confused exterior, you hold fast to your certainties and seek to find the truth about the things you don't know. While you may not be brimming with confidence and energy, you are content with who you are and accepting of both your faults and the faults of others. But while those around you love you deep down, they may find your nonchalance somewhat infuriating. Try to put a bit more thought into what you are doing, and be more aware of your surroundings.

Lordy:
You're right -- I haven't done any bug fixes on the GUI yet.
I'm, sorry, I've still got my hands full working in functionality. Don't know if you noticed the 'Ideology' stuff and 'turn' logic, but that 'plumbing' takes time. The GUI will be last, once all the data loads, stores and processes properly. It wouldn't take but a night or two to debug the Gui, but all my coding time now is on finishing the data classes for the last govt model computations.
The points you make are important, don't think I am downplaying them. We will work on fixing those, as soon as I finish with the guts. It's not long now.
I have to work in people chosing ideologies, then the equations for the 'ideologicalaly negotiated policies'. Oh, and do the 'warrior class' equations. That's all.

P.S. -- I have noticed that clicking on a mapsquare forces all panels on the screen to redraw themselves, which is a cheasy answer, but it'll have to do until I get the time to look at it.
Sorry. First power, then beauty.
Building the framework isn't 'sexy'. But it's necesary.
