Here's a sample of what we can expect, performance-wise:

    WarZone2

I think this is relevant to the 'java performance' discussion. Am I wrong?

    Anyone else remember:

    Cosmic Encounters ?

This is a perfect example of the distribution model I'm talking about. You sign up, and then get to play.

      Divide and conquer!
      WaveCatcher
      (Software: Applet)

WaveCatcher is a multi-player strategy game in which you take on a role of a leader of an alien nation in a strange world. You must plan the economy, set the course of your nation’s development, trade, negotiate, send spies, feud and chat with other players to survive and achieve your goals. The worlds of WaveCatcher are perpetual -- when you leave the game your nation stays behind and can interact with other players even while you're away.

        World

        (Software: Applet)

World is a Java 1.1 engine for developing games. It is almost finished for a simgle player game.

          How about

          Web Stratego ?

Anyone else waste as much time as I did playing Stratego when they were kids?

Sure! Stratego, risk, you name it

Unfortunately, having no brothers or sisters, I was often forced to play alone - can you imagine someone playing Stratego against himself?

Erm... yes, I admit it: I *am* a freak
Well, if we took the bones out they wouldn't be crunchy, would they?
