I bought it a few years ago (lots of years ago), it is not civilization, but it is "based" on the same game; the board game "civilization" and "advanced civilization".
This game you mention is pretty much EXACTLY like the boardgame "advanced civilization" - however the boardgame is (of cource) 100 times better (because you play with real people, and it gets a little bit of "role play" feeling).
However - i can recommend this game to anyone who likes strategy games - but dont think of it as "(sid meiers) civilization" but more like "an advaced version of chess".
This game does not work on my computer. In Windows DOS emulation mode it says that can not switch VESA mode. And in 100% windowsless DOS it stops Responding after showing 3 Sec. movie.
