A Colonization like open source project

Greetings!

Here are some screenshots of my ongoing project, a game similar to Colonization. So far I have completed a random map generator and you can move units around (the caravel and the soldier you start with).

I gave it a try. Shows promise - but it's so far behind FreeCol that it seems hardly worth the trouble.
