OOC: Okay, sure i am not welcomed back to BAC because of three writers who think they hate me and assume that i cannot compromise or have matured, but doesn't stop me from writing on something base on BAC, which is also my child. The BAC writers can accept this thread as official or not, as i will write like i would do so in the BAC story thread. Another thing, all feedback should be done in another thread like BAC discussion or a new thread entirelly. will do this piece by piece, as i don't always have the time
Observation Lounge, Collective Nexus, Dark Planet, Sol system
Cook looks out in the horizon, seeing the dark sprawling urban surface with the stars above. Can see Neptune in the distance, like a small marble. He looks towards where Earth would be, his home planet. Been 700 years since he last set foot on it...well, actually 200 years or less, when he part the Scion reps to accept the invitation to join the Terran Alliance., but that doesn't really count...
Unlike the majority of Scions these days, he was born a human. All those who first founded the Scions were human once, until they merged with the Biometal, which everyone out there wants to get their hands on. After the first war with the rest of humanity, they vowed to ever let them get their hand on biometal again. Of course, that vow as been broken before when the Scions made an agreement with Kerensky. He feels like they are being held as prisoners, not allowed to go beyond Sol, stuck with bunch of quarrelling nations. When he first supported the idea in joining the Terran Alliance, he thought it would stop and humanity would be united...but that didn't happen. More evident now then before...which is why he is all up with the idea of leaving Sol, and find somewhere then be at peace and expand.
That was discussed many times, here at the Collective, yet many don't approve of the idea, prefering to stay and believing that everything will be alright in due time. They are also the same old Scions who are against having a military and to isolate themselves from the rest of humanity. So some time, the debate has been postponed, until the recent discovery of some sort of planetary teleporter drive inside Dark Planet, months after discovering of the command nexus at the core of the world, proving that they are inhabitating an artificial planet...atleast mostly, as there is still evidence of smashed asteroids between the core and the surface.
Ever since then, the Collective been debating using this teleporter to move Dark Planet in another system...if they can get the thing working of course. All those who support the idea of moving and expanding are strong avocates, like him. Dark Planet is becoming really crowded, and being pushed around by rest of the Terran Alliance is not really fun. Besides, their existence is being constantly threatened...if it wasn't for the Fraal, humanity would of eliminated them.
What he is doing now really is thinking about the whole situation in Sol and beyond, as well as thinking something to counter the monkey wrench some conservative threw into the debate, should we abandon the Stargate and any chance of re-uniting with their fellow brethens that got marooned in that alien system when it got damaged during the first war with humanity?
He doesn't like to abandon the stargate, but it has been 700 years now, and they still didn't find a way to fix the thing.
Before he could go on with his thoughts, a Messenger entered the Observation Lounge and says "General Cook? We just received the latest report from our TAF [i]friends." He thanks the messenger and takes the datapad, reading it while the messenger bowed and left.
After taking a moment to read, he says outloud? "Kerensky is dead? S**t!" Thats not good news, was because of him and the TAF that the Scions weren't being pushed around by the rest of humanity...even thought they do it themselves in their own polite way. He leaves the lounge and starts running for the Collective Hall....
