    All right.

I'll give you one advice. Read.. I mean, Read, with a capital 'R'.

Reading lots of text, written in good English, will gain you the ability to write sane and logical sentences, and above all, it will teach you how to write so that everyone understands.

Of course, no one asks for or is able to produce *perfect* English, but it's not too pleasant to read if it's all diddly-daddly.

And if you know that you can write good English, then do so, and remember to check your spelling, at least give it a general look to root out the most crude errors.

It is very brave of you to present your idea and your work of fiction here - I myself was very shy when I started here last year -and your courage is admirable.

I would say that you had a sudden spark of imagination and an idea. The idea seems very interesting, and worth elaborating on.

I would presume that an idea that is yet to be presented in the story, and because you were so eager to get on with it, you quickly passed the boring start and decided to go straight for the action and the idea.

Correct me if I am wrong.

But really, read! Read the other texts here. Just to promote Beyond Alpha Centauri here...

      Kassiopeia reply

      Kassiopeia, thank you for repling.
You probably have noticed that my first language isn't English. Actualy it's Portuguese.
The spelling is How Word corrected it and i admit that this is not the best speling check.
I actualy read a lot of the work posted here. I started about half a year ago.
Once again i apologise for my bad English.

There are Americans who write even poorer English then you, so don't worry.

My first language is Finnish, actually. Great that you can write English at all, I know many people who are worse then you.

        I agree.

        Okay, then, well, read more!

Really, as long as you can make yourself understood to other people, there is no need to apologize your English. Nobody forces anyone to read it, right?

Maybe try first at a Portuguese forum? There must be some in the Internet.

Concept is great. Like Kass stated, it's just a matter of reading lots of other works and most importantly writing a lot yourself. I do admire your desire to even try and write in a language that isn't your first. I speak a little German, but in no way would I attempt to write a story in it.

Just give it time. One suggestion that I might give you is to go to the Off Topic forum and observe the good and bad of English Grammer. The only way to be able to write in a second language is to immerse yourself in that language. I guess the best compliment I could give a guy like Kass and some of the other posters here is that when I read their stories, I forget that they are not from the United States and that English isn't their first language. And yes, they often have better grammer then many Americans I like to chalk it up to the lazy factor.
Which side are we on? We're on the side of the demons, Chief. We are evil men in the gardens of paradise, sent by the forces of death to spread devastation and destruction wherever we go. I'm surprised you didn't know that. --Saul Tigh

I'll read and get back to Renegades as soon as possible.
