  • Story Repository at CGN

Civgaming.net has a new Smac/x Fiction section where folks can deposit their completed stories for reading online here . We are not competing with the Apolyton SMAC fiction section, we just like a place to collect the completed stories at. Hop over, and if you are interested in contributing, send me the article in .doc or .txt format (not WordXP, please- I can't read it, as I only have win98). We already have stories by Googlie and Hydro, and would like more, just for reading!

http://www.fanfiction.net/list.php?categoryid=735 is the site of fanfiction's SMAC story repository - only two of mine up there so far, though.
"Love the earth and sun and animals, despise riches, give alms to every one that asks, stand up for the stupid and crazy, devote your income and labor to others, hate tyrants, argue not concerning God, have patience and indulgence toward the people, take off your hat to nothing known or unknown . . . reexamine all you have been told at school or church or in any book, dismiss whatever insults your own soul, and your very flesh shall be a great poem and have the richest fluency" - Walt Whitman

Hmmm... maybe my new thread wasn't that new after all now that I'm looking through the archives here

it seems that the fanfiction.net site has been discovered previously

Don't worry, DarkCloud - this thread was from two years ago. I barely remember things that happened two days ago.

Any new or interesting AC fiction stories over there at that site lately?

I guess I'm too lazy to look up the dates on the stories.

The most recent one is from November 30 of last year.

Most are much older. And there are big gaps between the publishing times.

I think ours takes the cake. Just look at the first story entry into BAC and you'll see.....

                    :snickers:

BAC is prolly the only AC fiction going nowadays. I just wish there were more AC fanfics out there that are epic, interesting, and new.

Epicness, interestingness, and newness are in short supply these days.

(And I just used three words that don't exist.)

As with other fan-fiction things, the source material is excellent but many audience members are neither inclined nor able to produce high-quality stuff.

                        Ugh.

I'm a person that likes to have a good read, something enjoyable and interesting. Whenever I read short stories, I always get the sense of "wanting more". Epic fanfics satisfy my hunger pretty well.
