I think one Warlock stolen from the Spartans is quite enough. The Pirates may be tough but lets try and remember that the Spartans are not novices when it comes to security. It may work once but it won't happen more than once.

Kass. Trust me my friend, life can be hard but you got to keep going.

Everyone: The thread god is still out there. You will never know when he will appear from cyber space and peer at what you demi gods are up too.

You shouldn`t assume Just because "lose a Warlock" and "Pirates" is in the same paragraph/post doesn't mean the Pirates will be capturing another Warlock, geez What i mean is, a single Warlock that went off FTLed to where the barely escaped captured Drone Merchant Cruiser made its short FTL jump into deep space outside of the system gets destroyed by the Captured Warlock and escorting Strike Cruisers which FTLed moments later. It is because of assumption that the Spartan Warlock got destroyed, thinking that the Merchant Cruiser is a lone duck after making a small jump, towards a nearby solar system so assumed the FTL must of been damaged and failed. Warlock was able to detect the MC because it was at the edge of its long range sensors, seing the MC just outside of the system.

sooo, will be the Spartans second Warlock loss.... the second more intolerateble then the first. A embarassing lost. Creating the "thats it, the Pirates must go down" attitude. Spartans may be elite soldiers, but they can still be outsmarted.

      • Thanks Sprayber - feeling a lot better now, I hope the same for you too.

Let's see. Writing a post, uh, kinda got stuck. I'll see to it again tomorrow.
However, I do now have a renovated web site - thanks to our dear computer teacher, who decided that the rest of the semester should be spent with HTML.

The address is the same old http://personal.phpoint.net/nortti/bac.htm .

I have friends, of to who I have had difficult time explaining the kinks of this story thingie - thus, I wrote this - What do you think of it?

As always, if there are problems, do tell. The BAC index page might be a pain to load with the pics.
Cake and grief counseling will be available at the conclusion of the test. Thank you for helping us help you help us all!

          Hmmm....LMP...A thought....

What about when the Spartans send ships to snoop around Beta Hydri, searching for their lost ships there?

Perhaps the Pirates might be interested in some "contract" work.

          • Lonestar-

You're going to have to explain to me your latest post. And PLEASE lets coordinate Hive-Protectorate interaction.

            Mellian-

Well...I've been waiting since the beginning to see you post! I kinda want to see the Pirates point of view on all the recent events going on. As for the little question I asked a looong time ago:

The pirate clans don't care who they get hired out to right? Which was the more brutal clan? The name seems to escape me right now...I may want to hire some out in light of recent events.

            Kass-

I tried going to the site but the link wasn't working. What do you propose for Terran-Hive relationship? Please PM me with your thoughts.

            Sovereign-

I haven't heard from you in a while...just going to tell you that you can handle the arrival of University ships coming to Hive space with the Skipfire.

To everyone-NO...there aren't any spies on board. They are strictly University citizens only!

            History Guy-

Is it alright if I have a couple of Hive agents run some chaos in Morgan territory? Just some small-scale sabotage and low-level assassinations if that's alright w/you. If not, can ya PM me?

            Sprayber-

Hope Germany is going good for ya! Don't be drinkin' too much *pouts in jealousy*

Anyway, I'll just boast about the Spartan Federations downfall and the Hive's ascension to greatness! Down with Kessel! Long Live Emperor Yang!!!

            • Would it be acceptable to you guys if I moved my faction's establishment (i.e. the seperation from Sparta) back by about 50 years? It's getting a little annyoing knowing I haven't got much of a fleet with having only seven years to build it in...

LordMP-- I'm going to send the Novans something asking whether or not they can shell out some mercenaries to protect a series of mining stations and space stations near the Terran border area. Diplomatically, though, would the Novans be the best mercenaries for Morgan to hire?
Novans total forces is small and not geared for Fleet combat... as they mainly into smaller non-cap ships and various light cruisers/armed transports/merchant cruisers. They do specialize in Gear Combat and Small Ship Combat. Actually, mos pirate fleets are not equip in Fleet Combat... but do specialize in Strike, hit-and-run, pirate, raiding, etc....

after the intro post, the Spartans will know it is Kane's doing and may eventually find out that the Novans were involve.... same with the Drones.... so if the Morganites hire the Novans and the Spartans/Drones discover that they were involve in the attack..and thinking the Novans as some relations with Kane. So, shrugs.... Pirates are not to be trusted ...even if some clans have had a good rep. When the Novans realize the Spartans are after them and so on, they will dissapear..... Kane may also take advantage of the Novans positions if Kane ever gets contacted by the Hive to create some trouble for the Morganites and so on.

Tacticus-- Whoooops! Sorry, I did mean to post a response. I'll start work on it when I get back from Rockford this afternoon.

Kass-- I couldn't access either of your links.

Franky-- Yeah sure, but don't kill any main characters!! I will get to send in some of Ku's guys to the Hive later...right??

LordMP-- Gaaaaag! You should have told me that before I posted!! I guess we can...ummm...fire them after the incident, without too much diplomatic trouble?

Basically, what's going to happen is that they're finally going to crack the secret of the Temple, and send a party to a planet which turns out to be the (abandoned) homeworld of the Temple's creators. It'd be a joint expedition between the Republic and the clan.
out of curiousity, possible to post or atleast PM your ideas concerning the ancient race that abandon that world?

as for preferences as to the name of the current single existing explorer clan... none as i have no idea what to call them You can provide a name generally play them for your plot. Like most clans, best way to reach them is via the public comm network or contact the Nautilus Pirates at Chiron, who usually have a better idea as to where pirate clans are.

                          • Back to BAC!

                            Guys, I'm back!

I've been quite busy the past week, settling in a new routine for a new semester, as well as a lot of meetings. But now that I'm pretty much settled in, and my semester is a breeze now... 3 day weekends from Friday to Sunday ... I'll have tons of time to do more posts and discussions.

Don't worry, the next UCS post is brewing as I'm speaking. Expect it by tonight!

FC, now that I'm back, I'll get the ball rolling with a mighty kick

LMP, I've been thinking about my sub-plot. What I meant by "Good vs Evil" was about Loyal robots fighting Rebel robots... sort of like England vs America in Revolutionary War, or Union vs Confederates... that sort of conflict.

I would like your thoughts on this "Robot civil war"... from everyone, FC, Kass, History, LMP, Lonestar, and so forth...

Also, feel free to give me ideas for what to use for a sub-plot for UCS other than that Robot idea... so if that robot civil war doesn't pan out, I could think up another sub-plot.

Silence, your idea of a HoG assault on UCS territory sounds interesting. I'll keep that in mind, but feel free to give me additional ideas.

I hope I don't get writer's block, not at this critical time

Anyways, I'll cook something up for tonight
