I'd like to introduce a new element, because humans eventually will "play God" and create lifeforms that may support or may not support the humans. Also I'd like to provide a new perspective and style of "Good vs Evil"... Tell me, how many non-human "Good vs Evil" stories or sub-plots have you guys ever seen? And what about "Good vs Evil" plots about artifical lifeforms? I don't want to portay them as the universal Human killers, Human haters, Slaves, etc.I would like to give a new dimension and new levels of integrity to artifical lifeforms.
WILL play God? well, technicly, we ARE gods more like everybody and everything is ONE god. Anyway, I suggest you be careful with this Good vs Evil plot.... nothing is simply Black and White. I am already thinking about some Droid ideas via the pirates... Okay to have a renegade terrorist droids, but keep their numbers limited and the ability to "reproduce" to the minimum. Keep them as a sub-faction then a complete new faction too please.

Anyway, to Lord MP, please tell me how I should go about contacting the Novans for the proposition I have in mind for them?
hmm, should do a intro post of the Pirates.... introducing the Novans and the Wolverines, while the SPartans lose a Warlock Battlecruiser and the Drones loosing a freighter carrying a shipment of Worker Droids for a Drone operated Spartan ship yard.

How to contact the Novans? via the public Tachyon Comm network the Cyborgs maintain for everybody to use, which is like Comstar in Battletech. Just send a message for the Novans' leader Joe Nova to a Cyborg Comm Center or Comm Array... and they'll eventually get it when they check their messages and reply.

Kass-- I hope you do stay on.

LordMP-- I'm going to send the Novans something asking whether or not they can shell out some mercenaries to protect a series of mining stations and space stations near the Terran border area. Diplomatically, though, would the Novans be the best mercenaries for Morgan to hire?

Say, Mel, I was just reading your Pirate stuff, and I wondered if you had any preferences as to the name of an explorer clan who might be willing to go and take a look at a far-off planet for the Drones. Basically, what's going to happen is that they're finally going to crack the secret of the Temple, and send a party to a planet which turns out to be the (abandoned) homeworld of the Temple's creators. It'd be a joint expedition between the Republic and the clan.
Everything changes, but nothing is truly lost.

OK, I've written my post up, on paper , and I will post tommorow, since

History Guy (plus Kass & Mellian), is it okay:

              * Maria sends you a secretly encrypted message suggesting that the war is just official between the two of you and that a small covert ship will aproach you
              * Mr Sym is captured
              * He is being deported secretly back to Morgan I.

              * We send a gesture of friendship to Earth, sending back the captive prisoners, and ask that you hold democratic referendums about independence on all your other colonies in the Saturn region?

              Extra:

If you really like Mr. Sym, he could jump ships and escape from our probe ship and board the prisoner ship heading to Earth! He could operate from there!

Plus, about the throne heritage - Maria cannot have children and will wish to settle the next person who comes to rule after her. She wishes that the son of nicholas and Anita be the next King.

              OK?

Here lies my dilemma...If he is deported back to Morgan Interstellar, Morgan will have Ku kill him, thus ridding Franky of the best thing he has against Morgan by way of a link. I suppose he can jump ships, but he has to return to Morgan Interstellar at a later period, or I have to send Mr. Ku out to Earth to get him later and still get Ku back alive. Maybe this second option would be best, though I'd like to hear from Franky and Kass first.

                  OK, how's this?

When you post tomorrow, do not include what you will do with Mr. Sym, just that he's caught. Don't inform Morgan Interstellar or anyone else, but debate over what to do with him. I'd like to hear Kass and Franky on what we should do before anything's definant in how we deal with the guy. So do post, but don't include what you do with Sym, OK? Thanks!!

                    History check your PM's!

Well, here's my opinion of Mr. Sym-

I really would not like him to die...I consider him a Morganite minor character (like Kass' bumbling duo).

However, from the start you stated that he would eventually die, so I have to accept his death sooner or later...

I was thinking of offering him an office within the GHE (after careful examination, of course) but since Cyber has something cooking up...that's kewl.

I don't know what Kass has planned though...now that Yang has Morganite data.

                    • Hi. Thanks for your most kind words.

Like The Eagles put it: "You can always check out put you can never leave".

Just dropping by to read the story to have some basis on the next post. I think I have it pretty much figured out; the Greg & Filkins subplot is coming nice into shape, now I just need some actual story stuff.

                      * We send a gesture of friendship to Earth, sending back the captive prisoners, and ask that you hold democratic referendums about independence on all your other colonies in the Saturn region?
You can ask, but you can't get.

I'll read the story thread as it is now, and then come back to answer your questions. Because I have only a dim memory of who this Mr. Sym exactly is.
Cake and grief counseling will be available at the conclusion of the test. Thank you for helping us help you help us all!

Aw! He will be detained in the Saturnian Command Nexus, and my Forces Marshal Myodin will give him a punch because Sym mumbled loudly "stupid terrans... you think you're so powerful"

                        Kass, how (un)democratic is Earth?

The Coalition is an establishment of so-called representative or parliamentary democracy. The laws and regulations are motioned by the Cabinet (appointed by leader of winning party of parliamentary elections), and passed by the Parliament.

In military and economical affairs, and in affairs of internal policy, the people have directly very little possibilities. They have to rely on the judgement of their elected officials, especially in terms of appointing apt military directors; like Michael Wakazashi.

The President has little constitutional power, the most powerful person of the faction should be considered to be Elise Drecaille, sharing the pole position with SCMF Wakazashi.

If democratic means personal freedoms, it's as free as any western country by today's standards. Free enterprise, free passage etc. However, with the fear of another Titan happening, especially in terms of colonial states the security is tightening and these ideal freedoms slowly dissipating.

In my next post, I will begin to reflect the shift in Earth politics to a more Police State -like nation.

                          • Phew! Glad you ain't leaving Kass...

Franky-- Thanks, I intend to sort of develope Sym a bit more in the future (like just about everyone). He has to go someday, but I'll post-pone it to a while in the future. I know now kind of what to do with him. Ku will personally go after him. Maybe when Sym jumps ship (as I think we shall have him do), he can somehow wind up at the Hive, if you like.

Cyber-- Sounds good. Maybe you can imagine to fit in that he's wearing a black suit with a purple tie and that he has something like the mark of Cain on his forehead.

Anyway, looking forward to your posts. Am working on a short one to develope some more characters (i.e. Morgan, Ewell, Carstairs, Ku).
