  • All I gotta say is that you make me laugh.
    Gee, Franky...thanks...sorta...

I wasn't referring to Shantoi as Black Shadow, but Ki, the guy on Titan who gave Sym the information, was. The Black Shadow organization would do little to help the Hive at all. They disapprove of just about everybody...

General Tacitus-- Hey, if you want Ku to come in and meet this Lysander guy, just call us...

I hope Guardian can write for BAC. If some of us need to do part-time Peacekeeper posts, I've several ideas.

    • History Guy-

Sorry, my fault. I guess I was thinking wrong.

So, 'Myssym' is stuck huh? I hope he gets to Terra so that our agents there can safely escort him to the protection of Hive space.

Kass, ya didn't address the Morganite 'problem'! Nah, that's all good I think ya did a good post, merging the Mr. Sym sub-character with the Greg and Filkins!

Expect a message from Ambassador Sillk by the end of the day.

I really like the "You started it first".

      • Sorry I haven't checked in, didn't mean to cause anyone concern. The Drone Republic is dropping back into the story very soon; first contact with the Temple's sentience has been written up on my non-internet computer and will be up soon.

Fans of The Hunt should expect new material there soon as well.

No offense to anyone, but does anyone else think the story's leaning a little towards military events? There seem to be very few civilian or even espionage plotlines at the moment.

History Guy, I liked Morgan's little rant! Are you a fan of Greven il-Vec by any chance? ("I will flay the skin from your bones and grind your bones into dust and scatter the dust to the winds. And then you still will not have suffered enough!")
Everything changes, but nothing is truly lost.

        • Thanks Franky. When old Sym does get to you guys, I trust you'll make him a very rich man...

Good to hear from you, Mr. President, and looking forward to the next chapter of The Hunt. I think you are right that BAC is too military oriented, and I would like to read more civilian posts, as I don't think they are boring at all. I was thinking of doing one myself soon concerning a casino on Pollux C.

As for Morgan's rant, thanks. I've never heard of Mr. il-Vec, I must confess, but I'm sure that if you find his works to be good I would most probably agree (as it looks like we agree on other books, namely Lord of the Rings!).

Looking forward to blowing up some Terran and Hive ships. You guys don't mind if I take down some frigates, do you?

I have seen this as well. I have mentioned it a few times but I guess it's hard to maintain intererest without some kind of war going on. I know this sounds strange coming from the guy that picked the Spartans. The Morgan-InEn war was a good idea at the time. But we soon saw that everyone got so involved with it that we soon found ourselves picking sides and going in. At the beginning I kind of envisioned us fleshing out our factions with background before we got involved in major conflicts with each other. Don't get me wrong. War is going to be a major part of a factions history. But I just felt that there seemed to be more of a need to build up to it instead of just jumping in.

Somethings felt as if they were rushed to accomodate the inpending war. (no offense is intended. My writing is very much on my mind when I mention these things. There are many things that I kind of forgot about explaining cause things were moving fast. That and the fact that some personal issues have occured.)

Why exactly has the TA just all of a sudden become dominate when at the first it seemed little more than a loose union.

And why is the EC so humbled into accepting it when they clearly are a dominate part of the TA.

Why does the University seem so eager to drop a very advantagous partnership with Morgan for the chance to buddy up to Yang who they have had no contact with for hundreds of years.

What is it with all those alien races in the Hive anyway. (meaning I would like to know more about them and their roles. Some of the aliens seem more interesting then our deer chairman err, i mean emperor.)

More about the Cadre and its strained relationship with Sparta and the Hives sometimes support of various elements. That looks to be an interesting story. Why exactly did the Cadre break from Sparta and are those issues still there. (stay tuned i guess

I'm just reminded of the fate of the Chiron Chroncles. This was always meant to be a way to be able to expand on the stories, when in CC there was only so much that you could do. Again these are just thoughts of mine.

              Hi guys!

              Long time, no see...

I haven't been on much for quite some time now, since I haven't had all that much spare time to sit down and play with my computer and a good chunk of the time that I have had has been spent playing Civ III, but... well, yesterday I was on here for a while and posted some pictures in the Off-Topic forum, History Guy sent me a PM, and... well, here I am!

Now, what I'd like to do is to take some time to read up on the story before jumping into it so I won't just be running blind. I know I've said this before and ended up doing precisely nothing, but... well, I'll try not to let that happen this time!

              More later!

welcome back my friend. Lots of things have happend since your last visit. Tragedies in real life have taken their tolls for a lot of us in the BAC universe, but we go on with the story. It's good to have a familiar face back.

Sure, just make sure you are fast when transmitting, the Battle Squadrons there can be quite trigger happy...

                  Sprayber: Whoopsy-daisy...

                  Cybergod:

                  The deal is:

The stations want to Titan, right?

We ship the Titan sympathizers (probably 99.99 % of the pop) from the other station to the other and take the empty station to ourselves. You can have the other station. Sure, it can sound like ethnical cleansing, but it's really just a matter of keeping a foothold down there.

On Greg, Filkins, an Mr. 'Myssym':

Uh, well, maybe Sym wanted to use his imagination?

The idea of fixing them together for a short while was really, really tempting. But, I assure you, I'll release hold of him soon enough.

                  History:

Hmm, well, that's what I had in mind...
Of course, it could be someone else, staging the M.I.A.; it would be easy for them to get the blame, as there's full scale shooting war going on anyhow.

Oh, and take some frigates, sure. We wouldn't want to give the false impression of godhood, invulnerability etc.

                  Battle of Samnos:

The ECSN is now in place, around the First Planet (name of which I didn't want to make up). Maybe now's the time for the Hive to make it's grand appearance? The EC could stand by in awe for a moment as the Hive ships deal out some punishment and then the Terrans could join in the festivities.

                  Guardian:

Franky: Well, I was sorta expecting that the Hive get rummaging about it at first; besides, I would expect Samnos be obliterated so that the GHE can have some standpoint in the dialogue.

                  Ragnarok:

It's the spinoff - sorry if the plug smack middle of the story was kinda blatant.

                  • Wow, its Guardian! I haven't seen you since 'back-in-the-old-days'!

Just kidding, good to see that your still around!

                    Addressing Hive xenology.

My website has a brief description on the different alien races...I'll expand on them later when I have the chance. I'll have initial contact history, highlights of the race AFTER or DURING contact with then Chairman Yang, and other facts and tidbits of each race.

I kinda had some idea's running around in my head but haven't had the time to define them yet.

But until then, I'll try and have some small insight on the alien races that are in GHE.

                    War

The Hive is not at war with any government right now. For the Morganite "encounter", it is a battle-not a war.

For the Hive, War is solely reserved for the Spartans. I thought I was building up tension with the Spartans with my ambassador talking to whatever Spartan-clown his is talking to right now (no offense Spray!)

                    Other Stuff

Ok Kass Hive goes in first, then the Terrans jump in next...gotcha. Although when I post the battle, the end of my post will have the battle warming up. I don't want to have the Battle of Samnos to have a "glossing-over".

Hope this helps to clarify any misconceptions you all had about what I was doing up to now.

                      • Sprayber-- Percisely, if this does escalate, I want only Morgan, Kessel, Terra, and Yang involved for a while.

I am going to do a post soon about the Morgan Metropolis complex on Cyrus' number one planet. It is a resort that attracts Morganites and foreigners alike. Besides the breaktaking views from the resort's position atop the highest mountain of any recorded moon or satellite, the seas are quite nice for a dip as well. The moon is 70% water. The resort, Morgan's Hideaway, is home to huge swimming pools and saunas, sports and game buildings, a restaurant/theater, and it's famous casino. A certain Tracking Officer will be paying a visit due to a prolonged holiday granted to him for his meritorius action in revealing the Terran's message to the Hive.

Guardian-- Hey! There you are! Glad you were still interested!

Kass-- Samnos and Naxos are simply two large moons around a small gas-planet known as Crete. The two moons are called the Cycladic Moons. When you attack you will be up against, on Samnos, elite militia units, as well as two squadrons of fighters and one frigate. There is 14 orbital platforms and one orbital cannon. The area is under the command of a Morganite Admiral, now, who plans the defense. There are two governors, instead of one, thanks to Franky, who govern each moon. Naxos is a different story, that is heavily defended.

I can blow up your frigates? Man, I have tears in my eyes now...I can't wait!

Exactly where on the map are these. You guys aren't talking about the So called Morgan coperate sector are you. Don't forget that there are Spartan ships in that area since it is basically cut off from the main Morgan area. That is very close to Gaian and Uni territory.
