As is tradition, here is the comments thread for my new story. I'll try and keep fairly regular with posts for any interested, even if there aren't any, just for my own shear indulgence I haven't figured out how long a story it's going to be yet, and I don't know how it will end, but all of the SMAC and SMAX factions will be involved somehow. Just so people can visualise by the way, I'm basing geography on the huge Crossfire map, so people now where everyone is, etc.

I'll try and keep it within the confines of SMAC for the most part, although for the purposes of my story some aspects are different (sorry Hydro if you read this, it's just creative liscencing )

Anyways, that's enough of a rant. I just hope some people enjoy. New post tomorrow for sure.

I'd say you're off to a really good start. I like the way you set the stage, and it will be interesting to watch what happens.

Morgan and Santiago. He-he. That would be one film that I would most definitely have to see to believe. I thought that your portrayal of Morgan and his winner take all personality was terriffic.

My only other comment is grammar related. When using the words "there" and "their", "there" is used to indicate a direction or location, while "their" is used to indicate possession.

Other than that, I look forward to the next chapter.

Thanks for the grammer tip. That's actually my brain moving faster than my fingers can type, I do know that and should have checked it. Proof-reading was never one of my strong points. Glad your enjoying though

I know it seems a little obvious, but I'm trying not spell it out. I've delibretly left Svensgaards name out so far. However, I promise there will be some surprises along the way.

Spartan-Morganite-University alliance. That was going to be my main alliance in a story I was thinking of, but you could probably use it better as you've already started. Morganites have the goods, University does the research, and the PSartans give the troops the training to use the weapons and technology to defend the factions. They tend not to expand so much in the game, so three factions with generally smaller but more sophisticated bases could take on two ICS factions, say Yang and Miriam. Could make for interesting reading. the Consciousness and Gaians could make a good alliance as well, although it would be quite passive. Keep up the good work though!

I like the twist of Svensgaard having escaped a Spartan police state. Can't wait to see what happens to the Pirates. Will they be obliterated by this new alliance, or will Pirate heroics carry the day? Whoa, this story could go in a hundred directions couldn't it? Keep writing!

Great story so far, i really like the way your portraying Morgan, a very likeable guy, despite his capitalist philosophy you still kinda root for him.

Also it kind of has a humor to it, always good to read.

I like the Drone situation particularly becouse i agree, i see the Drones as a breakaway from the Hive too, consequence of being a sociolist society with a tendancy to occupy very large areas; socialism-variants!

                  anyway keep it up.

I like the way you portrayed Morgan. He appears far more friendly than I've ever characterized him. Anyway I love it. Keep it up.
