  • Alien Fiction

Well, I'm just wondering is there someone who wrote some fiction stories from the standpoint of our good aliens, perhaps Marr and H'Minee. Would be really ineteresting to read some - getting tired of those human based stories. Any?

I'm one of those people who weren't keen on having the aliens show up in the game- mainly coz you can't identify with them like you can with the other factions, in my opinion SMACX is a Humans-Only zone, where human ideological societies work out human issues.

Having said that, they do have their point of view represented in the Spartan Chronicles, and if thats not enough- well You have a go, I would'nt mind seeing a more in depth attempt at a credible alien viewpoint, specially featuring a civilian or footsoldier standpoint. If I actually manage to produce a cohesive body of text that some may be generous enough to call a tale- i'll try an capture the rhino-lizard peoples viewpoint too.

Of course I can, but they're represented so bad there. For example, I can't still imagine the alteration proccess . But someday, perhaps...

        Try This

Try this link to the Progenitor Tales by The_Progenitors. IIRC It was an attempt to expand the story from SC. Also The_Progenitors were two writers. It was before my time here.

If the link doesn't work, the thread is located on page 6.

Yeah - The_Progenitors was originally a triumverate of Googlie, Velociryx and Hydro - we were ambitiously planning a 1000 word novel on the beginnings of the alien race, the flowering, the wars, the dark ages, etc. Didn't get very far off the ground though (these three or four early posts were my (Googlie's) work and most of it found itself inserted into the Spartan Chronicles after we introduced the Aliens there.

I'd thought that there was more - in fact, IIRC we supported one of the smaller smac/x forums with a few more chapters, I believe.

I'm sure that I have this additional text somewhere on my system - I'll see if i can find it and put it in the 'Poly thread.

If someone would be interested, I could make a first-person short story(something I'm good at) on a Progenitor commander.
It hurts to be on the cutting edge!
