  • Dream to Planetmind... (from Commissioner Lal)

    Thank you, my friend.
Your kindness towards our people will not be forgotten.
Hopefully, we shall see better times than this... together!

    U.N. Enforcement Base

General Braddock sat quietly watching the video for the seventh time... there was not a shadow of doubt in his mind; that WAS Clayson! Also, intelligence experts were already pretty sure that the film was indeed about a year old and that it had not been tampered with. It seemed Santiago was telling him the truth... He had been horrified at first, thinking it wouldn't be possible to continue the struggle with the Spartans using Clayson as a hostage. They would have to give in... to negotiate... to... No, damn it! You're being feeble and weak, now snap out of it! First of all, he told himself, there is no way we can possibly negotiate with the Spartans under the current circumstances. If we held the upper hand and they knew that we could destroy them if they didn't come clean with us... perhaps then we could have negotiated... not now. It would only make us look foolish and weak, and they would laugh at us... they'd just laugh at us... and even if we did make a deal, they'd probably double-cross us and we'd be right back in this same mess before we knew what hit us... only, it would be even worse because they'd be prepared for it and we wouldn't be...
We call ourselves the Peacekeepers, but as of right now... peace isn't even an option!
It's just a dream... an illusion... something we hope to have some day...
For now, we must stay strong and keep fighting... there just is no other way...
    -And what about Clayson?
They've had him for over sixty years already! There is probably very little they can do to him that they haven't done already... and besides... if they've kept him this long, they'll probably keep him a while longer, almost no matter what we do. -And even if I'm wrong about that, it really doesn't matter, because he would NOT want us to give in...

Closing his eyes, Braddock still remembered Clayson's last words as his unit charged...

    "FOR FREEDOM!!!"

Where would you be without trust?
I don't know... where are you?

To: General Von Halzburg, Spartan Main Army
    From: General Braddock, Peacekeeping Forces

    Hello General.
I guess it's about time for the two of us to be introduced to each other. I understand you used to command a "special" unit that was sent to U.N. High Commision (War Outpost) after the Spartans captured it. Did you know I had a wife and kid who used to live there?

I don't know what you think you are, but as far as I'm concerned, you're a murderer, not a soldier.

Reserve Forces, near the Defense Line

There they were, the four re-organized rover groups from the Frontal Units who were supposed to be joining them. Now there were 14 rover units with them, the 5 elite Assault Rovers + 6 Msl. Rovers and 3 Plasma Rovers. Also, the 7 artillery units were still with them and some Cult forces in the area would be joining this little party too. They didn't know exactly where the Spartans were, but the main army had gone so far back up to the north that it would take them at least a couple of days to return to the lines once they deemed themselves ready, and so Commander Cooke wasn't too worried yet. The forces under his command were taking a break for a few hours, and then they'd start taking up positions along the line to the south of the area where they thought the Spartan army should be. They had jets in the air to supplement the long range sensors on the ground, but the Spartan air force was flying a series of aggressive patrols further north, near the pre-war border, and so the PK jets were staying further south, closer to the lines. No need to risk their aircraft venturing too far to the north when they'd have almost two days' warning without that. If the Spartans tried to close and engage the PK jets, they would get a hot reception indeed, as every SAM-capable unit in this group would be in range and would definitely take a few shots at them. Cooke decided it was safe to relax for a couple of hours, but not much longer than that. The troops could even take off their protective ABC suits, but he made sure they knew to keep those ready. He still didn't trust the Spartans not to use Nerve gas... He did not trust the Spartans at all.

    None of them did.

    • near the defence lines north of U.N. Data Acquisition

The Spartans has sent a squad of rovers to come inspect them and the PK Interceptors are just entering the Spartans radar range of the captured PK Sensor Array. He gives the go ahead to the two units with the PK Artilleries.

The Artillery units had a target lock for awhile now, so they simply started firing their missile artilleries... missiles fly towards their target, the captured sensor array. The Sensor Array quickly got destroyed by the mass bombarment while damaging/destroying any spartan units in the area. After all that, the Artillery starts firing towards the Spartan position at the defence lines.

As soon as the Artillery Unit fired their missiles, the three Hive Units quickly started moving and spread. They quickly ambushes the Spartan Inspection squad and then proceed to take on the rest of the Spartans. They to hold them off until the PK Intercepting units arrive. The othe two units will be defending the two artillery units. With the loss of the Sensor array, the spartans are almost radar blind to the Area, so the exact positions of the Hive units is not known and they won't exactly be able to know when the PK Intercepting units will be arriving. The Hive units completly took the Spartans by surprise and almost off-guard aswell.

The Plan, if the Hive Rovers cannot hold off the Spartans without having to many losses, they'll slowly retreat towards the PK Interceptors. The Artillery Units will bombarb the Spartans while two of the Hive units will be protecting them.

      • OOC: oh, before i forget, before you go to far cyber, i won't allow you using them to blow up the north pole Would have a global effect and I won't allow it. the Data Angel units sent to the east continent should be arriving at either Humanity Base, or Aid Station or Enforcement Base soon. And the Cyborg garrison units sent to east continent soon after that.

Note: Chiron Alliance factions exchange techs with each other, except with peacekeepers, until they beef up their Security/CounterIntelligence. Pirates acquired Silksteel and Cyberethics from the Data Angels, whom they gave Synthetic Fossil Fuel, Doctrine: Iniciative, Doctrine: Air Power and Advanced Military Algorithms, if they didn't have it. Gaians traded its Centauri Meditation for those.

Would like to mention that my Battle Dragons have secured the Upland Wastes north of Spartan territory. Chiron Sea is quiet as the Spartan Fleet are still hiding in that channel, but have Ships on both sides to keep a watch for them. My Fourth Fleet north of the Eastern Continent have detected two Aircrafts from the upland wastes, supposely from the Airbase which my Battle Dragons has found. We are assuming they were Spartan Air Transports. One moved to the northern icecap and the second westwards, probebly to that large island. The Home and First fleet are still bombarding Morganite and University coastal bases, wrecking havoc.

I want to ask if my faction can send a research team to yours to study your peoples MMI implants and have access to information of the procedures. The Nautilus Scientists are quite interested in the wonders which Neural Grafting and Mind/Machine Interface can do. I am willing to share our current research data on the tech my scientists are currently researching on, the Superstring Theory. If successful, would be able to develop a new weapon which would help the war effort against the so-called Apex Alliance.

        Captain Svensgaard

OOC: Hey, Cyborgs would naturally have that kind of knowledge maybe not the complete techs, but mostly. And i also revealed what the Pirates are working on :P and what they want to work on after that :P

Branko, can you have the our probe team in Morgan Territory to acquire their files on Planetary Economics? Would be useful and may aswell, with the war and all. The probe team in University territory should snoop around to see what is worth taking.

LMP, why are you in Believers territory? Weren't you suppose to be at Gaia's Landing? You Macky can be hard to find, especially when you people keep moving around so much. Anyway, there is a mission I would like you to do, if you agree to accept or not. I want you to infiltrate University of Planet (OOC: they are infiltrated by pirates, but some parts are not) and find out about their Project Alpha. You can take N-12 (a nautilus probe team) with you.

I accept the mission and will be moving to Inspiration Point and start from there.

north-east of Janissary Rock, still within the base radius

The Probe Team succeeded in getting 1000km away from the base. They have located a Spartan Sensor array and have taking it over, temporally anyway.
They use it to send their recordings of the brutal slaughtering of the rioters, nerve stapling them, of the drones of Janissary Rock raising the Free Drone flag, and so on. Recordings of atrocities done by the Spartans to its own people. The Probe Team have worked on it the whole time they were travelling. They send it on all comm frequencies throughout the Spartan territory, to the Free Drones, to the Peacekeepers and to the Pirate bases in the chiron sea. They program the sensor array to repeat it, with free drone propaganda mix in to it. The Probe Team then quickly left the sensor array has the spartans will quickly come to stop it, but not without downloading the lastest sensor scan, showing where the Blockade Guardians are located. They move north to the Upland Wastes and send a send the latest data scan to the battle dragon units, using data angel encryption.

OOC: Pirates are not into framing, just use different evidence which would hint either the Free Drones, or Data Angels(which spartans dunno much about anyhow), or Peacekeepers and so on. Pirates currently have the second best intelligence/probe teams on Planet any how, with the best naval force and having the fourth best industry/production :P oh and also in the top five most advance factions :P sorry for bragging.....

        Upland Wastes

Two battle dragon units move back towards the northern parts of Janissary Rock, but spread out and just outside of Spartan sensor ranges. Their intent, create shadows ghosts, useless comm chatter and playing 20th and 21th century music on all frequencies among themselves. Making a comm wracket. Since they just recently acquired the sensor scan from the probe team, they know where the spartan units are and won't be fooled into their ambushs. Its just to tempt the Spartans to come and get them and to utterly annoy them.

OOC: the battle dragons are pirates afterall :P of course, Spartans don;t know that and since spartans haven't infiltrated the Pirates yet, they don't know much of them. except for knowing that they exist, knowing the locations of half of their bases and knowing that the pirates have the biggest navy and have superioty on the sea.

          • Planetneck...

Spore launchers are usually depressed. No one, except maybe Planetmind, knows why. They just are naturally saddened by everything. They are sad when they plod along the fungus, sad when they stop for firing, sad when they produce spores. But they are happy when they launch. They fire with blissful sighs (not that you can tell the difference between a happy sigh and a sad sigh). The latest theory from the Provost of the University of Planet himself is that the spores, when they are launched...tickle. He was drunk on artificially distilled vodka at the time.

The spores flew through the air, landing on the freshly built Hive bunker on the opposite side of the Planetneck. The spores started humming as they crunched through the gleaming metal. The metal was soon chewed to the core. The walls fell, the Chinese swears rose.

At the Peacekeeper side two mindworms laid low in some fungus. Soon after many bombardments, and after many rebuilds, the Hive's units would be driven out to attack the spore launcher. Until then...SIGH!

            • U.N. News Network

*Broadcast begins with the blue and white flag of Peacekeepers filling most of the screen. It's flying high and proud against a blue sky on a clear summer's day and it's waving gently in the wind. A fanfare is playing in the background as a somewhat agitated, yet steady and confident voice announces that this is the U.N. News Network with a special war update.*

Voice: It is a time of great strife. The Peacekeeping Forces are locked in a desperate struggle to hold back the marauding armies of the malevolent Spartan Federation.

*The flopping blue and white banner disappears and the screen goes blank for about half a moment, then comes back to show a scene from the Defense Lines, where Peacekeeping soldiers stand in their bunkers, keeping vigilant watch over the terrain in front of them.*

Voice: The future of mankind and possibly that of this entire planet could be at stake here!

*The camera sweeps over the plain in front of the Peacekeeper line, showing a landscape littered with burnt-out wrecks and twisted bodies...*

Voice: But, we are not in this struggle alone...

*The camera turns all the way around to show an army of rovers moving into positions along the line, then shifts to show mindworms lying low in between the bunkers and rover formations. A spore launcher is plodding along the line, and in the background a swarm of locusts can be seen crossing the plain. Then, suddenly, the image hops again to show the sea, with a couple of Isles of the Deep moving fast across the waves and off towards a flaming red horizon where the primary sun is setting...*

Voice: Once again, our friend the Planetmind has come to our aid in an hour of need. Some times it seems the planet values humanity higher than some of our fellow humans do.

Also, our Chiron Alliance partners of the human kind are helping out in any way they can.

*The picture shifts again to show a Pirate fleet of cruisers and foils plowing through the waves beneath the setting sun...*

Voice: The Nautilus Pirates and their powerful fleets still control the seas. After being engaged by the Pirate's Third Fleet near Fossil Field Ridge, the (*hints of a slight chuckle*) "massive" Spartan fleet decided they weren't so tough after all and retreated into a channel close to their own home bases, where they're still hiding. The Pirate Fleet has effectively sealed off this channel, and so if the Spartans try to come back out of their hidey-hole, they'll find themselves in a world of hurt! U.N. Naval Forces are also in the area, ready to take part in any action.

*The picture hops again to show a group of people hard at work on and around a small cluster of computer terminals, one of them standing up and eagerly pointing out something on one of the screens. Others are running to and from with printouts and stuff, and a few are just standing around watching.*

Voice: Meanwhile, our Cyborg and Data Angel allies are unfortunately forced to keep most of their military forces at home due to the threat posed by the University of Planet and their allies at Morgan Industries. However, both the Cyborgs and the Data Angels have also sent a few units to aid our forces in their struggle against the Spartan fascists. Also, the Data Angels are currently assisting our security forces in enhancing our data security and counter-intelligence capabilities. Hopefully, within another month or so, our datalinks should be safe enough for us to resume tech trade with our allies.

The Gaians have not actually entered to conflict yet, but they too are members of the Chiron Alliance and will join our struggle once they've had a little longer to prepare their forces.

In a surprise move just before the outbreak of hostilities, the Cult of Planet sent a large force to the Eastern Continent to assist our forces, and so they too are our allies in this struggle, even though we have little in common in political terms.

*After another hop, the screen shows Hive troops moving through the streets of U.N. Data Acquisition, heading north...*

Also, it appears some of the Hive's forces have crossed the Planetneck and joined up with our forces to help repel the Spartans north of U.N. Data Acquisition. This is also kind of surprising, as the Hive has officially decided to side with the Spartans against us. Appearantly, our General Braddock made some sort of a secret deal with the Hive in the months before the war, and their General Kane is now honoring his side of the deal in spite of Chairman Yang's last-minute decision to switch sides and team up with Santiago. -Now that is an honorable and corageous soldier if I ever heard of one!

*New scene: Planetneck. Formers are hard at work constructing bunkers and defenses on the Peacekeeper side. Planetmind's forces can be seen hanging out nearby, and in the background is a grab-bag mix of Peacekeeper and Hive units...*

At the Planetneck, our forces are hastily preparing a response to the new "aggressive" posture of the Hive's Southern Forces. Planetmind is reported to have bombarded the newly-built Hive bunkers on the opposite side, which Chairman Yang probably won't be happy about, but (*another hint of a slight chuckle*) maybe he should have thought about that before he decided to side with the Spartans!

As for the Spartans themselves, we have just received some disturbing footage from Janissary Rock, where there have been extensive riots over the past few days...

*The U.N. News Network then proceeds to show the recordings of the atrocities committed at Janissary Rock...*

              • (OOC: LordLMP, the Spartans aren´t blind in that area. The Msl rovers have deep radar, so they should see the incoming Hive units before they can attack. And they didn´t catch anyone unguard as the Spartans were ready for surprises, when dealing with traitors. Thats why they sent the inspection team!

Prelude to the battle of Treason
“They are attacking us…we need backup… help!” The last thing heard from the inspection team.
“Damn bastard doublecrossers !…” Weiss was cursing angrily as he watched the data coming from the deep radars.
The Spartans quickly organized their six rover units. The four units moved to attack the incoming Hive units while Commander Weiss´s unit and the other unit, who were a little further south, moved to flank the Hivers. One unit with nerve gas was called from the bunkers as an assistance, and the Spartan artillery started bombarding the attackers.

                From: Commander Weiss
                To: the attacking Hive troops
(OOC: directed as a propaganda towards the soldiers)

Hive soldiers, stop what you are doing and come to our side. Don´t you see how you´ve been tricked by your renegade general to come here and to abandon your home, relatives and faction forever. That will be sure if you attack us.
And why do you want to lose everything you have ever know and fought for? Because your general wants to keep his reputation, though he has lost it with this treason. So I ask you, why to fight anymore? For what? Why do you want to fight us, when you could come to our side and have the right to return back to your homes.

OOC: LordLMP, the Hivers aren´t immune to psychological warfare, even when they are commandos and elites. They are still human! And when they are under bombardment and attacked by a force twice their size, I don´t they are much high with morale .And they still have the chance to change to the Spartan side...

A pleasure to meet you too, General Braddock. Yes, I was in charge of the special unit, and I´m still in charge of it.
About your family, they were the unfortunate victims, needed to stop planetminds brutal attacks . I´ve looked in to my records, and it seems they weren’t “put to sleep” by my unit. Later on planetmind brutally attacked our bases, killing several thousand people. So, as a revenge the local garrison executed two thousand peacekeepers in War Outpost, and unfortunately your family was among those executed.
General, I´ll ask you a question. You are doing this all for revenge, aren´t you? My daughter died at the hands of planetminds mindworms in Commanders keep, so were even. And don´t start giving me that “saving the world from the evil Spartans” bullsh*t…

They do operate like a hive, where the Chairman is the queen. their almost like the Cybernetic Consciousness, without the MMI implants. Maybe not completly immune, but hard to persuade Hive soldiers with propaganda, unlike their drones :P Also, they been into war with the spartans for decades! as if they'll surrender. and Hive soldiers rarely see family once they joined/conscripted into the military. Not like they have happy family lives in Hive territory. :P their almost emotionless due to strong psych training. Besides, the Spartan would be confused somewhat and sensors don't always prevent surprises. Deep Radar or not, PK Artillery still bombarding spartans and still have Pk Gatling Squads in bunker in adjacent squares too :P not allowing spartans pierce through 1500km of bunkers, 500km is enough :P

north of U.N. Data Acquisition near the Defence Lines

The Hive units quickly eliminated the spartan inspection rovers and now cautiously move towards the spartans. Major Kurita knows his units cannot take on the spartans full force, but will keep them busy until the peacekeeper reinforcements arrive. The Hive units will be mainly evading and taking snipe shots to the spartans weapons/reactors/cockpits/wheels to disable them if possible. The Hive units have the advantage of maneuverability and speed compared to the heavier armoured spartan Rovers. To avoid getting blasted by spartan artillery, they'll mix themselves up with the spartan units. if Spartan want to artillery their units while trying to get his, its fine by Kurita

While two battle dragon units continue to make comm and sensor noises at the edge of Spartans sensors, the rest splits in two groups. One will be moving westwards and the other two towards the costs. They'll then move southwards and raid spartan improvements. (sensors, mines and solar collectors) If they see Spartan units coming after them, they are to move back into the Upland wastes.

                      • C(OOC: LordLMP, the Spartans won´t get confused because they practically expected the Hivers to duoblecross them. The deep radars won´t prewent surprises, but they sure do can show three attacking hive units, 700km away!
And yes they are Hive soldiers, trained to charge with mass against the enemy and not much else that’s why the Hive has mostly cheap low morale units, but a lot of them. 2 against 1 for the Hive now and being flanked + plus bombarded. The description you gave about the Hive soldier´s life frankly suits better the Spartans I don´t think they have such a life, especially if most of them have a not so good morale, and why the hell shouldn´t they have happy family lifes? Because they are Hive?Don´t look at things too black&white .
Besides, the traitor Hivers can probably see their current situation for themselves, “why to die for peacekeepers as we could go home and die for the Hive?”

Lord, the Hive units can try to evade and take snipes, but they don´t have much chances when the Spartans are charging with full speed and the Hivers are being flanked and bombarded.

                        The Battle of Treason

“F*cking bastards!” Screamed the Spartan pilot, seeing how one of the Hive rovers was trying to do a kamikaze on him. He warned his gunners, and a hail of missiles hit the incoming Hive rover straight in the cockpit.
The four Spartan units had charged the attacking Hive units. Occasionally a bombardment by the faraway peacekeeper artilleries came close, not doing much serious damage. However, the Hive units in turn had had probably enough from the bombardment coming from the nearby Spartan artilleries.

The Hive units had tried to prolong the battle for some reason by turning this into “catch the mouse that is an inch away from you” game and using their sniper skills. However, they had obviously underestimated the power of a missile, and so their maneuverability and speed was pretty much useless against a missile launcher that could rotate and target anything in 360 Degrees.
The Hivers then charged into the Spartan ranks, trying to avoid the artillery fire, which stopped immediately when the Hivers were mixed up with Spartan units.

The pilot turned the song coming from the rovers music player to full. Next to him, a Spartan rover was hit in one of the forward wheels by a gatling beam, ending its journey for now.

“Keep rollin´, rollin´, rollin´, rollin´…” the song was from another old Earth bands, called Limp Bizkit.
The Spartan rovers rolled after the retreating Hivers, shooting a constant storm of missiles at them.

The radio started suddenly screaming salutes and praises from the charging Spartans. Commander Weiss had flanked the retreating Hive units.
If Commander Weiss can´t handle the situation, then nobody on this planet can. the pilot thought with a growing feeling of victory.

The radar showed how the already mixed ragtag lines of the Hive were melting completely as two of the best Spartan units on planet hit the enemy’s side.

The battle turned soon into a deadly chase, with many Hive rovers being chased down and destroyed.
The pilot watched as his gunner targeted a Hive rover and shot two missiles straight into its back, causing the enemy rover to explode beautifully.

The Hive units were routed now, and what remained of them limped away with a hurry. Fortunate for them, the Spartans grew tired and disengaged from combat after Commander Weiss evaluated those Hive units wouldn´t be a threat anymore.

The combined army then turned quickly towards UN Data Acquisition, and started rollin´ towards the base.

Meanwhile, the two SpartanX units that left from the captured bunker were on a course to meet the combined army somewhere near UN Data Acquisition, and Commander Weiss had hinted them that they might have to use their nerve gas…

(OOC: Okay, damage report. Most units had minimal 0-20%. One unit was sent back to the bunker for repairs and upgrading, as it had over 50%.)

Chairman, we encountered some of the renegade Hive units. After trying to trick my forces, they attacked them but were fortunately repelled and routed.
I urge you, in the name of our alliance, to start your attack on the peacekeepers as fast as possible. It would be a perfect move, as the peacekeepers have gathered most of their troops here near us.Meanwhile, tehy don´t have enough forces to defend planetnecks chokepoint from a massive assualt.
Remember, your will have the western part of the conquered peacekeeper territory.

Come on, admit it. Your doing this all because of a personal vendetta. You´ve staged your own private war, and now the whole world is being dragged into it.

If you truly are a good general, don´t let personal matters cloud your judgment. A prove about your clouded judgment, is that you and your people came here. There is nothing worthwhile gaining here in this desert, except satisfying your hunger for revenge. You have become the monsters you so much hated and feared…

We prove you right? This is war, and war has no rules. If you think that we are going to play by the rules that have been made up and enforced by our worst enemies while the whole world is against us, then you are truly stupid. Open your eyes, the world isn´t black and white.

And don´t start telling me that we deserved planetminds attack, because when the damn collection of fungus attacked on civilian targets, the war was practicly over as you peacekeepers had cowardly ran to your little cozy paradise island. There was no need for planetmind to attack us anymore, atelast not civilian targets, but still she attacked.

Thank God that your family died without pain and suffering, as my daughter died a horrible death at the hands of mindworms.
I will never forgive planetmind for that, but still I am able to control myself and don´t go on crusades against windmills, as the saying goes.

                          Janissary Rock

The streets were quiet, the peoples rage gone. The base was slowly recovering, in the same time as the fallen pylons were slowly erected anew.

Further north, the Spartan rovers continued their ambush, but this time moved into different positions, as the enemy was obviously trying to lure them out with annoying music. (The pirates are broadcasting Britney Spears )
And of course, one unit went to destroy the sensor array that was broadcasting the recordings fo the probe team in Janissary Rock.

The rest of the Blockade Guardians moved out of the base, their mission now was to stop any further raids or attacks coming from the wastes.

(OOC: Jessus, I forgot about the Spartan fleet completely. The fleet isn´t IN the channel but near its northern entrance. BTW, if the pirates detect the Spartans, the Spartans will also detect the Pirates )
                          The Spartan Fleet

                          The fleet was getting bored.
The pirates hadn´t followed them into the channel, and now they had been waiting in these positions for months.

The ships that the deep scanners had detected a while ago were probably pirate ships, coming to see what is happening on this side.

It was time to move now, and the fleet stared picking up speed slowly intending to circle the island and attack the pirates in a surprise. If the radars detected any ships, the Spartans were to attack them immediately.
The surprise attack had to remain a surprise…

                          The followers of War

The four new units had already arrived in War Outpost, upgraded their weaponry with nerve gas and left towards the front lines. The trek was long for infantry units, for normal ones that is. These humans were supernatural, never even growing tired.
They had dedicated their lifes to serving the God of War, and with his blessing had become the true masters of War.

The Cultists were exceptionally good in stealth, blending completely into the surrounding environment. So, even the stronger radars had problems detecting them.

Their mission was to attack the defense lines near UN Haven City, while most of the Peacekeeper army was after the Spartan Main army and creating a bloody havoc.
They didn’t even fear the mindworms stationed there and the pitiful illusions they created. To the contrary, the Cultists waited to rip the bastard worms into pieces.

(OOC: Okay okay, I know +100% and trance is a little over the top, but the downside is that training new cultists takes literally years.
The thing with trance is that first, the cultists are practically immune to fear and second, the meditation they have to practice constantly puts them into a hypnotic trance, for the purpose of dampening any emotions on the battlefield. I don´t consider this as an extra ability, but as a part of them, like with the artillery.
Simply put, the Cultists of War are all cold-blooded killing machines, who have no emotions at all.

Sir, we are sending you a vast collection of technology, a gracious gift by the University. With this technology, we can now complete our industrial automation. Also, with the help of the Field Modulation, we have a better armor design available for our troops to use.

Deep within the dungeons of Sparta Command

Two scientists watched the slowly opening cryochamber.

“Are the modifications successful?” One of the scientists asked the other.

“” I´m not sure. We´ll have to make a few more tests before anything can be said in certainty. If they aren´t working, a lot years have been wasted…””

As the cryochamber´s hatch opened, it revealed the cold body of commander Clayson.
Robot Assistants lifted Clayson from the cryochamber and put him on a surgery table.

The scientist went to a nearby computer, and punched something into it.
The computers monitor showed the whole picture about what had been done to Clayson.
Miniature devices had been implanted near his every major organ and nearly half of his brains were missing, replaced by what seemed to be a sophisticated computer. His skin was artificially enchanced, synthfibers went through his every muscle, he could breath outside without a mask and his bones were pure plasma steel. He was not human anymore.

Green lights flashed on the monitor, indicating that the new enhancements were working.

“”Okay, everything seems in order. Lets get these tests out of the way…””
The scientist started working with the computer while the other one went next to Clayson´s body, getting ready for an operation.

                          • In Data Acquisition…

Everything was ready. The bombs had been placed, most in random places all around the base. Most but not all, as the northern part of the perimeter defense had been rigged and ready to explode.

One of the probe team members was watching the scenery from an abandoned apartment building, the depressing staleness of UN Data Acquisition opening before him. Somehow he had always imagined peacekeeper bases different, alive. But this resembled more the Spartan style, particularly Survival base, where he had been born.

In his hand he held the remote control needed to activate the bombs.
He pushed the button without hesitation. For a second, nothing happened.

Then it started. Bright explosions lighted up the base, and the northern perimeter pylons fell down, not away from the base but on it, destroying the nearby buildings completely.

Next in turn were a part of the local garrison, the police station, the local forum, the administrative center and other important places.

Bright flashes lit the base once again, and occasional screams could be heard. The spy went inside and next to a collection of sophisticated equipment.

He punched a few buttons on a keyboard, and a pre-recorded message was transmitted…

On all peacekeeper frequencies, including UN Data Acquisition TV and Radio Channels.

People, enough is enough! The Pro-War politicians have lied to us enough! The Spartans are outside the walls bombarding us and now the walls have fallen down, even when the politicians promised that would never happen!

And how are they going to enforce their promises!? They asked the Hive, the nowadays allies of the Spartans, to help them by bribing the Hive with technology and money! And they even dared to buy the Cult on their side, a faction that is dedicated to annihilate all human life on this planet!

But I ask them, why!? Why do we have to stand this!? Why do we have to work our lives away supporting an army that lies to us constantly!?What have we turned into? Are we truly better than the Spartans?

People, rise and fight against this tyranny, into which this government of ours has turned!
                            Join the rebellion!
We don´t have to stand this anymore…
                            End of Message

The people here were either so stupid, desperate or afraid of the Spartans, that it was only matter for someone to light the match and throw it into a pond of gasoline.

The spy smiled and took out his shredder, loading and readying it. He was the only one left of his team here in this base. The only thing he had to do now was destroy the equipment around him, and get out of the base alive.

Around the base, the people heard the message, the ones who hadn’t been evacuated. Angry mobs started to gather around the base and as the police arrived, bloody mock fights started. They were sick of promises and guarantees, and they didn´t want to do anymore work to keep up the very expensive army that wasn´t even capable defending them. Or atleast, this was how they viewed their hopeless situation.

As the angry protesters overwhelmed the police troops, the local garrisons intervened. Soldier, all carrying deadly weapons, lined up in the streets and occasionally shooting over the heads of the protesters. This only angered the people even more and soon the gathering mobs were openly attacking the soldiers, charging into their lines and throwing them with everything possible.

Massive riots flared everywhere around the base, with some of the groups organizing and using the weapons robbed from the local armory which had been raided. Even some soldiers from the local garrison joined the rebels.

The whole peacekeeper base was in flames at the worst time possible, as the Spartan combined army would have been just detected entering the bases radars if only the radars could have worked, but instead they were in thousand pieces, smashed by a Spartan bomb.

                            • OOC: For crying out loud Cyber! your so stereotypical of Hive, geez. Kane's Hive Units = Not normal Hivers. And PK Artillery are still shooting at Spartans!! And stop with SPARTAN SURPRISES WORKS all the time, not the other FACTIONS against them. Gatling Lasers can rotate to you know, but not 360, neither can missile launchers, unless you put them on top of of the rovers, on top of the cockpit, which would be a lot easier to disable. PK interceptors should reach the spartans before they get to Data Acquisiton. Another thing, Cult of War units will not be able to pierced right through and won't alow to much of super units. I will alow them only to ELITE with Trance. As already mentioned in the Rules, Ultra-Elite cannot be trained, especially Super-Elite. can only get that in extreme circumstances. Cult of War may train their people to the extremes, but thats training still. Rovers can easily run them over. And they don't get a stealth bonus, as they cannot gain more than one ability until neural graft and no stealth until the apporopriate tech. Probe Teams are a small group, Infantry units are a Regiment full, easier to detect. The Cult of War didn't have YEARS to trained, as the Cult was only formed early 2180?
Industrial Automation doesn't give a huge burst in Industrial production either. does improve it, but cannot instantly make new units in few months, especially the bad Industrial rating still, which ain't nullified. And Spartan Fleet cannot surprise Pirate Fleet, as they are still superior in Navy, with Cruisers and Marinetime Control Center. They live in the sea! they are more experts Navaly than Spartans. Sorry for this, I just woke up and simply annoyed.

Major Kurita survived the engagement. Out of the Three Units engaged the Spartans, about 1.2 units was left, mostly of his Elite. The other two and the artilleries haven't been attacked, yet still bombarding the Spartans and the Spartan units moving southwards. His units retreating toward the other two. They encountered a few disabled spartan rovers, in which his troops finished off.

Once they are coming, they'll go back into the wastes, just outside of Spartan sensor range.

The Pirate ships are still waiting for the spartans to come out. The Northern Group have detected some of them at the northern channel. Admiral Proudmoore doesn't mind waiting, but does wish he had Needlejets available to him to recon the spartans thought. The half of the Reinforments Svensgaard promised as arrived via the Great Northern Sea while the rest will be coming via Peacekeeper waters.

Foreman Domai was bit surprise that the Svensgaard would give him more technology, but does understand why. It ain't because the pirates want to stay on Free Drones good side, but doesn't want to see his faction fall to the Hive and even Spartans maybe. He has ordered his garrisons and other units to be upgraded with abilities provided from Advanced Military Algorithms while he ordered a Prototype of a Needlejet and a Interceptor. If they are successful, the Free Drones will be mass producing them for sure.
