  • Howdy Kinjiru! Glad you stopped by! I'm sure all of us would like any comments you might have by the way of critique (assuming you've been able to wade thought the latest installments).

Goog, Argo, and sen, I posted some ticklers on Googlie's discussion board. I forgot to put my tag down or the topic a couple of times. User error strikes again.

    • LOL - and as webmaster I can't edit them, just leave be or eliminate them.

Ah well, I've replied to them instead.

      • FINALLY got on SC Chat, and I think I figured out what the problem is: I have to go to Goog's Spartan Chronicles just after booting up. If I visit Apolyton or any other site then Goog's site freezes on me. And it only took 2 soft boots and one hard boot (which did the trick) to figure this out. It remains to be seen if this is truly correct or if it is simply an artifact of chance.

Now if I could get anyone here on SC Chat I'd be fine!! Kind of like 3 wks ago, when I showed up and nobody came…

I'll just wait out the blizzard here in Chicago and do a little writing (gasp!!).

        • Hydro - I popped in at 5:45 PST - you were there but elsewhere, and you logged off at 5:52

I'll go back and see if you pop in again

            • Great post Senatus! But the end is missing! The whole thing didn't fit! You need to finish it, it's really well done. Let's just say, things started looking a little blurry for a bit there

              • Oops. You are quite right - the end is missing!!!

That was poor quality control on my part. I checked all the start/end italics but neglected to check that all the text was there! It even ends in a sentence fragment... (sigh)

I'll fix it when I get home tonight.

                • Well, I fixed the problem with the missing text using the brute force approach. It was strange, but I couldn't add the text to the existing post so I chopped it off and continued in the next post space. Hopefully it doesn't break it up too much.

                  • Hey, Sorry Hydro. I hadn't actually checked the name, I just saw Sister Jessica and for some reason assumed it was Winston. Didn't me to give away your credit! Awesome post

                      • Phew! Just got my posts in under the wire, including
the promised "year end" monologue. Let the invasion
                        commence!

To Argo and Hydro: Yes, that was a brilliant piece, and
I was pleased to see good Jessica take a role within it. I think perhaps the most impressive thing to me (as a writer) was on how Erik captured the behaviour of
the children, including Markie, in the story. The
dejected defeat of the Gaians after their war with
Morgan was also had a nice, authentic feel. Kudos!

To Googlie: I have no idea about the chat. We did
have one last week (or was it the week before?), but
I don't know who has the transcripts.

                        • Let me say, Argo, very nice work on the Orient Express. Federov's reluctance to actually kill someone, and Sand's obvious "logical" eagerness bespoke the latter's sadism well. Every story needs villains, and Sand is definitely someone we can all hate.

Goog: Three posts in a row from me is a record! You must be inspiring me

                          • Hey Guys,

Sorry I don't have a new post ready, school has been crazy busy, especially for the first week! As soon as I have a connection set up (I'm at my parent's place right now) I'll be back with a vengence I promise. Wouldn't you know, the one time I can't post, I've suddenly got a dozen ideas going around in my head!!!!!! Oh well, be back soon.
