No wonder my post count didn't go up in the OT forums even though I made like 40 replies there a few weeks ago.

I'm sick of being a simple Prince. A king or emperor title will do.

Deity? I don't really care. Deities die when people forget them or stop worshipping them.
They made postcounts not increase from OT posts a while ago. Something about it being a pointless, violent spam market.

I agree, having a Deity title is overrated. It looks butt-ugly when it appears next to your name.

        • Ooh, looks interesting!

Franky - I've posted the Drone viewpoint of the last segment of the battle. The way I've interpreted it, the Hive fleet has Franco backed into a corner right now.

          • A question for the Franky and the President: would this engagement you're having on the Hive border be something most governments would know about, or is it more of a 'secret war' kind of thing?

            Comment

            • Aha, good question. I would say (though Franky might have a different opinion, I'm not sure) that it started off as a secret thing, but that other governments would find out about it soon enough. Especially when it gets the Adams regime into electoral trouble.

              • Agreed with Mr. President. I'm thinking that it'll start off secret, but with the amount of resources that'll pour into that region, it would be eventually known by other governments. I'm thinking that once President Adams gets into trouble, it'll be no problem for the other nations to find out that something is going on between the Drones and the Hive.....but finding out the exact location of the fighting would probably be much harder to find out.

.....this might lead to some good subplots with some special operations done to try and find out what is exactly going on....but I'll leave that up to everyone else.

                • Forgot to ask Mr. Prez,

Should I make another post, or wait for you to post the reinforcements?

                  • You can make another post if you like. 'Cause I figure there's gonna be some more fighting going on before the reinforcements arrive. Depending on what assets are at MI-135 when Franco's message arrives, it could take a fairly long time for reinforcements to arrive.

                    • Ok. Will post something later on. More battle and more losses on Hive side trying the "break the turtles shell."

                          • Oh BTW Lonestar,

I've been meaning to ask you. I'm going to graduate soon with a Bachelor's in Psychology. I was wondering what kind of jobs can I get in the Navy with it? My interests are Public Safety (Prison Administration) and/or Security (Administration). What is the potential like compared to the Army?

My cousin said that I could become an officer in the Army almost right away, or I could join the Air Force...but I'm not too sure I would like to join the Army. What does the Navy have?

                            • I know the Navy is the Village People's favorite!

I tell you what: I have a year and a half left on my "engineering" degree, but I'm severely tempted by the Magic Creative Writer job that is reputedly available.

Yes, I know. I seriously doubt I'd be able to move to Seattle (which, I remind you, is 10,000 miles from here) at a moment's notice, and there would surely be awkward questions about what I've been doing for the last six months since I finished my Bachelor of Science.

About the same. You won't be allowed to be an aviator, but you can still go to OCS and get commissioned as an Ensign. You'd probably be a Surface Warfare officer (re: They are going to send you to a ship and you'll learn your real job there)

Army; They'll commision you as an officer, and depending on how well you did at "90 day wonder" school (OCS) you'd get to pick your OCS. Then your happy ass would be acting like an infantrymen anyway when you get sent to Iraq.

Bear in mind the USN is downsizing, so that may not be the best job decision.
