    Except, the card is wrong.

    It's not 8 kilometers long, it's more like 17.

It's not a "Super" class Star Destroyer, it's a Executer class command ship.

    Get it right!

    • Finally! I posted!

A LOT of typing. I tried to post it all in one post, but it said I exceeded the maximum of 20000 characters. I ended up having about 25000 characters in the post I've been writing for a week now.

So I had to split it up into two posts.

Lonestar, I made my reply to Pym.

      Guys, again, post any feedback.

Where can I get a deck of these cards? Or is it a special thing like collecting baseball cards?
They used to sell them at games stores and some book stores. Decipher no longer makes the game, so I think they're out of print. But I don't think they've left the planet, ie. there should be some still floating around somewhere.

By the way, I like the new post. Can you imagine the look on the human admirals' faces when they see the Hercules?

My Imperials weren't always character heavy. I figured out that using swarms of stormies led by a squadleader and armed with guns can take out Leia, Han, and the rest of the Rebel scum.

Even TIE's using that "Tallon Roll" and "Dark Maneuver" combo can take out the Rebel ships (Red1, etc).

I think Motti is an underrated card. Just have him on the Devastator with a whole bunch of TIE escorts and the Rebels go down really fast.

Cool that this is the same game!
Motti with Lone Pilot (adds one battle destiny for any pilot defending alone, but adds two battle destiny for Motti defending alone) really sends the Rebel scum diving for cover.

I used to find the Rebels had good characters (high ability ratings and whatnot) but that the Imperials tended to have better weapons and ships.

What I used to do was seize some area of my choice (often the Mos Eisley Cantina ) and defend it with laser projectors and characters, and project power with an Observation Holocam. Then the Devastator and its entourage rule space!

Y'know, talking about the game makes me eager to play again!

            • Lonestar-from what I read, the Executor was the name of the ship, but the star destroyer was of the "super" class.

Although you are right on the length of the vessel. But there seems to be discrepancies throughout the Star Wars database on the actual length.

Crimson-Yah, I know what you mean. I used to have Grand Moff Tarkin and Darth Vader aboard the Executor, blowing Rebels off the planet. The attrition rate was unbelievable when I got the cards right. My friends would have to get rid of 10-20 cards if I was lucky. Dammit, I wanna play!

              • You guys are making me want that game so bad.

Is it possible to scan the cards so I can print them out? Just wondering if thats possible, so I could give it a try. Hell, if its possible, we could play a game via PM's or something.

                  • Franky and Lonestar, go to this place...

                    or http://www.stardestroyer.net

then navigate your way to the forums there.

Ask around and they will give you a lot of info about Super's, Executors, Eclipses, Sovereigns, etc.

There are very knowledgable Star Wars guys over there at StarDestroyer.net.

Any other stories you read over there?

I like reading Starcrossed, Twilight War, Cain and Abel (matrix / terminator story), and Best of Both Worlds.

I think Stravo makes a hell of an author.
