my proposal is for a limited set of rules for the IP sessions:
*Communications only allowed between factions that have obtained each others' commlink frequencies in-game
*Psi units cannot be assigned multiple point patrol routes (avoid instant demon boil bug!)
*Multiple drops or orbital insertions using the right-click menu is forbidden. So is airdropping from outside a base/airbase, or after having moved (except on a magtube) using the same method. Using the 'i' key when you want an airdrop means you will automatically comply with these restrictions
*Cannot change an infiltrated faction's workers to specialists, for example by using the F4 screen (or the bases icon of the F2 screen)
and one additional rule for the PBEM:
*Multiple reloading of the game to try for different effects is forbidden. If a reload is necessary because of a game crash etc., an explanation should be posted to the turn tracking thread
LEAGUE RULES
Anyone can initiate an IP LEAGUE GAME, but:
- the game will start as an IP game;
- the game will be initiated in this thread;
- the game will have at least 3 human players;
- the game will have to be played on transcend level;
- the winner will post the last save of the game and passwords (if any);
- season 2008 ends December 31, 2008 24:00 GMT, results must be posted on Apolyton by that time to count.
POINTS SYSTEM:
Games with 6 - 7 players:
place 1 ... 10 points
place 2 ... 6 points
place 3 ... 4 points
place 4 ... 3 points
place 5 ... 2 points
place 6 ... 1 point.
Games up to 5 players:
n = no.of players in the game
place 1 ... n points
place 2 ... n-1 points

place n ... 1 point
(Places 2->6 based on the power chart at the moment of victory. When in doubt decided by alpha centauri score. Eliminated players in the order they were killed/surrended).
