  • New PBEM wanted

    Did any one find it?
There is a serious prise on its head! (No whipping in Poly...)
Its like a turn a week paste and it has players that actually play in it through the end
Not sure if it is new or used...
If you happen to find it, please post here

I'm not very good and I've only ever played 2 1 v 1 PBEMs. But I would like to play if you can't find more suitable opposition.

      ??
I've played a lot of games and I'm still a lauzy player (I've won one game only).
So I think you are suitable for the job (as long as you are in for a long game...)

Alright, sounds good I should be able to play a minimum of two turns a week 10 1/2 months a year. Under usual conditions I can play a turn a day. I will probably be somewhat slower November 15 - January 1, maybe 3 turns every two weeks. If that's agreeable, I look forward to the game!

Are there any active CMN's these days? If not, how does one go about setting up a game? I'd like to have one of the Morganites, Planet Cult (if average or abundant native life) or Drones if possible.

P.S. I've won 1/2 PBEMs (worm rush worked) so I suppose we are theoretically an even match, even if in practice you're going to smash me

I don't want to hold things up. If that tempo is unacceptable to other players, feel free to go without me. 70% of the time I should be able to play a turn a day. There's really only a month and a half each year I won't be able to. What turn rate do you consider acceptable SmacxVeteran?

I didn't mean we HAVE to do one turn a week, I'm just being realistic. In a 4 players game it always comes to this...

And I don't think JustinSane is holding up anyone...

Lets wait just a couple of days to see if more players join, it might pay...

if its a turn a day, if everyone commits to a turn a day. Then i'm definately in. Just try and check ur email every day. I realise sometimes its difficult but if everybody says that thats what they'll do, and endeavour to keep this up. Then i'll take consciousness

Sorry, I can't commit to a turn a day (though I mostly do return the turn within a day)

I'm with t_ras. Most times I can send a turn a day, but the average might be 5 or 6 a week, not seven. And as previously mentioned I do have a month and a half where I'll be limited. I'm sure we'd both appreciate it if you'd consider joining a game that is maybe 25% slower than you're accustomed to. I'm sure it will keep moving.

Well, I think we might as well begin. NO buddy seems to join any way.
                      Which settings do you prefer?

hmm.. If it's 1 v 1, a huge map seems a bit excessive. Maybe Large Map, average all, pod scattering on, tech steal on, all victory conditions possible, do or die on and a few AIs? If native life is abundant I'd like to take the Planet Cult (my preference), but if not I'll go with Morgan. Are there any active CMNs? If not, do we just create a random map with those settings? I'm very much a PBEM newbie, so please bear with me if I make mistakes or ask questions that seem like they have obvious answers.
