  • looking for multiplayer game - SMAC or AX

Title says it all - I'm looking to get into a PBEM or normal online multiplayer game of AC or AX. Had the game for years, but never played online, and recently started playing again.

Does anyone still play this game?? Post here if you want to start up a game, or have an established one with room. Thx!!

You might get a reasonable response.

A bunch of new people have joined Smac/x: eager for a Pbem game, and it would be unbalanced to have veterans involved, apart from offering advice.

The options that usually open up are:

Join an existing game (you usually have the worst situation
(but the experience can be useful).

Join a new game, players disappear after awhile and game ends without any conclusion: all to do with replacements.

Join a new game, and players stay to the end , but the game needs to have a fast turn around.

When you have gathered together a small pool of players, a GM (CMD= game set up designer) will design a fair map and starting locations, according to your preferences and launch the game.

But take note: Games via Pbem can take up to 3 to 4 years to complete.
