A replacement is also needed for Senethro in Cult of Worms and Fungus. The game is a little different--it is a SMAX game where all human players are Cha Dawn clones & the 2 AI are gaian clones. GO NATIVE!!!

probe rule about vendetta... its not realistic for me if they don't share info then what's the point of having the best probe teams... also how the hell they know the identity of these hackers...

Pagantrap, are you referring to the following statement:
"H.Probe actions: Must choose vendetta option when probing other players, rebuke when probing pactmates"?

This is a standard rule and arises because of a bug in the game in that the probing player is asked to select the consequences of their own actions instead of the probed player.

I'm not sure why you would have a problem with this. It applies to all players, not just the data angels and is not an issue when you are probing an AI.

Hmmm, I'm not sure it does actually, the attempt to frame screen comes first & I would imagine the second dialogue only comes up if your frame is unsuccessful. I don't do it enough to be sure though.

In PBEMs, you can frame a human-controlled faction successfully - the "vendetta" massage then doesn't come up.

If your action is unsuccessful, then that's where the bug applies, as the "framer" gets the choice message instead of the intended "framee", just as in regular probe actions in PBEMs

So the application of the rule would mean that regular probe actions (steal tech, assassinate researchers, etc etc) would require you to select the "declare vendetta" option, (as the targetted faction would normally have that choice), - but for a framing attempt, you only would be required to select the vendetta option if your framing attempt failed
