What's the problem? Did you get a river(short) and a monolith? because thats what I got as well as a mix lots of types of tiles including fungus.

Knowing our CMN, he is usally pretty diligent about making sure people get equal starts.

Its a common multiplayer bug-- IN PBEMS the colors wioll be assigned according to the last non-PBEM game you played IIRC-- You may be red when you open the turn and green when I play etc etc

I'm not questioning our CMN at all! It's just that I got greedy... and lost a colony pod in the process. It's not that bad, maybe a twenty turn delay?

Yeah, good for base 1. Trying to find something for the others isn't so easy, since I'm not willing to gamble my colony pods this early to pop pods.

And, for said odd reason, I have the Pirate's colours!

I was greedy too but survived a mind worm attack on a pod because of bad planning i didn't have a patrol in the area to attack him and earn me some money
Well, it's not that unusual this early.

Btw, i started out with the Hive colors but in 2102 changed to the Morganite skin

and your color can be different every turn depending on the factions in your last single-player game prior to opening a given turn. If you want the colors to be right, crate a single player game with the factions in the correct order and load that up and then close it just before playing the PBEM. I don't bother to do this but if being the right color is important, its a fix
