Our top story tonight is CEO Vaniver's speech at the quarterly Corporation shareholder's meeting. This year marked the complete integration of the Human Genome Project, which Corporate scientists and technicians had been working on for almost two decades. Recent investments of the majority of the Corporation's free capital, bolstered by a loan from the Peacekeepers, allowed the full line of products from Vaniver Genetics to hit stores across the faction, at a subsidized cost. Those subsidies are hardly cheap, and a Corporation spokesperson had this to say to justify increased taxes:

'The Human Genome Project represents a tremendous neighborhood benefit to the entire faction, practically eliminating hereditary diseases and retardation while significantly bolstering the potential of everyone undergoing treatment. Everyone benefits by having richer customers, a better workforce, and from the technological innovations of others.'

Vaniver Genetics has announced that while the basic versions of their treatments, equipment, and codes will be available at a reduced price to Corporate citizens, they are still offering multiple premium packages and customization for those willing to pay more. Vaniver Genetics will sell to buyers from any faction, but without the Corporate subsidy only the richest will be able to afford this. While Corporate experts suggest that the lower class in their society will dwindle away, the mobility allowed by the Human Genome Project won't significantly affect other factions."
