Lucky to pop a transport so early, since there are lots of pods in the sea to exploit. Of course, unlucky to pop an Isle.

Since it is before turn 15, I think all native lifeforms are at a 50% penalty, so hopefully your transport will survive.

I finally popped a pod in the fungus that I had been trying to pop for the last 4 turns. It was a monolith, always a nice find I think.

Does anyone know if there is a way to predict what techs will be available for research, since the tech tree is off-track for a normal game?

Hive is the slowest researcher in this game (since Believers are out). Normally I know about when I can expect certain early techs to be researched, but with the tech offerings seemingly randomized compared to a normal game, that is all out the window. And so is any early strategy which relies on it. Suddenly, being University, or at least being friends with University, is looking really attractive!
