Newbie PBEM wanted 4-1-2006

I am OK with either what Chaunk proposed (3 colony pods and 3 scouts), or what Senethro proposed (size 3 city, 2 colony pods, and 2 scouts).

Grampa, Humphrey, do you want to weight in? Or do we just pick one and start?

What a mistake-a to make-a.

It works better with 5, I had an empty continent.

I'm playing about with faction graphics files for the Hive quad right now, so maybe later tonight.

I guess you could chip in with what starting units/bases you'd like?

I think the options so far are:

3 colony pods & 3 scouts (2 rovers and a scout for sparta)
OR
1 size 3 base with a recycling tank and a recreational commons + 2 colony pods and 2 scouts.

So far we're completely split I think.

The more standard is the 3 colony pods and 3 scouts set up. It's closest to a normal game, and also closest to most PBEM set-ups, which is why I prefer that.

I guess it's up to the CMN to decide!

This is the first turn. Nearly had a couple of screw ups, but should be good now. (I nearly let you start with 5 generic factions with no properties) Check your starting tech, units ecs, faction properties, everything and report back to me if something is amiss.

Good Folks of SMAC PBEM 4-14-2006

I just wanted to share a little something about my life.

On March 13,2006 I was sitting at a Traffic Light. I was stopped. A vehicle hit me from behind doing 45-55 mph. It totalled my pickup ( I had an F-150 Super Crew Cab 5.4 liter engine. This has the class 3 towing package. It ripped the reeses hitch off from under the truck. I was holding the steering wheel and for reasons I cant explain, I held onto it and it bent the steering wheel 4 inches toward me. It knocked me 72 feet through the intersection. He was charged with failure to reduce speed and possession of cocaine and paraphenalia.

I have been on Norco,Valium,Flexaril,Demerol,Percocet,Methacarbam ol,Lyrica to name a few.

I have been X-Rayed, Cat Scanned and MRI'd to the point I dont want anymore.

I have headaches,neckaches and severe back aches.

May 1 2006 I go to a Neurosurgeon. IT appears back surgery is only option left as a Chiropractor has told me the damage is too severe along with my attending Doctor.

I say this because sometimes I cant quite concentrate.

Please forgive me and bare with me. You will find that Gramps is a pretty good old country boy and means no harm or ill will.

I am downloading what I need now and should play turn quickly.

I ask for some guidnace.

I love Apolyton and in a nice way, not broke-butt mountain-deliverance way, love you guys and the fellowship that we all dip from the well from.
