Nope, I didn't retire anything. I also had something strange happen last turn. When I hit turn complete I was asked if I wanted to declare vendetta on the Angels or let then slide. The only problem was that I didn't see them do anything to me or even make contact with me during the turn.

Are you sure that the A's haven't undertaken a probe action against you and you're now being asked if you want to declare vendetta?

(The mechanics are screwed up for human to human probes, hence the PBEM convention, but AFAIK it works with the AI as it should)
