      CGN6 may have been one of the games I was thinking of yes Although in reality, our little fight only weakened both of us to the extent that neither of us could win the game. Still, twas fun

      And what makes you think you'll survive long enough to get choppers?

              Cooperative off is one condition I asked for at the beginning of the thread....no joint victory....otherwise what Darsnan said sounds fine.

                      Suites me fine; any AI configuration is ok with me as well.

                      Please note that I think we also have a house rule that choppers are limited to two attacks on a base.

                        I think I prefer variant 1 for the AI, as the usurpers may give googlie a massive disadvantage with an automatic vendetta.

                        And please Net Warrior and Googlie, ask for tech stag off! I hate that setting!

                              Hmm - my thoughts on set-up

                              Ok with most of the suggested, but with a couple of suggestions:

                              The AI plays better with sparse cloud cover - they forest the arid land right from the beginning (and don't put those stupid farms and solars on arid soil like they do in other settings)

                              I like random events turned on - it puts a premium on base facilities that counter them (energy banks, research hospitals, etc) and again, the game algorithm seems to have the AI focus on these too, thus creating (forests and facilites) an AI that can actually challenge a builder

                              I don't mind the Usurpers bsing in the game - it adds an element of diplomacy, forcing other players to choose their poison ( )

                              And just a personal preference - with co-op disabled, I've lost 2 ways to win (Caretakers can't transcend, and with the no-coop rule, can't assist another to transcend either). If we stick with the no-coop rule, then I'll change to the Cult - which would make the AI variant 1 the choice

                              (And by "no scatter", I'm assuming we won't see Unity Pods all over the map? - a big disadvantage to the Gaians (and Cult) as their ability to get IoD's becomes virtually non-existent. If the intent is to reduce the free tech lottery, then the scenario can be tweaked to say that Unity Pods never produce techs - or artifacts or whatever - there are 5 possible prohibitions)

                                The way I understand this:
                                No scatter, No=the option is off, thus pods are scattered on the map.
