Standard -- nope?? I have NEVER heard of a map being tweaked to change the starting terrain of a faction if a restart happened. But then again usually a replacement picks up the game where the last player left off, for better or for worseOriginally posted by Cataphract887

edit; do keep in mind i have come from other forums that view cheating so harshly and skepticly that the openess of smax to cheating would pretty much prevent actual play with so many preventations.

When I joined this forum I was amazed at how helpful and willing the other members were in setting up games for me, as well as teaching me the nuances of the game. A lot of people spent a lot of time helping me out, and I think it comes from us being a small, tight knit community. While we can be harsh in disciplining those we do catch cheating, why that is the exception, not the norm. I think you will find our community to be a little more mature and laid back than others.Originally posted by Cataphract887

i dont know how much bin has told you,but his calm reponse to my (secret) discoveries has amazed meWhen I joined this forum I was amazed at how helpful and willing the other members were in setting up games for me, as well as teaching me the nuances of the game. A lot of people spent a lot of time helping me out, and I think it comes from us being a small, tight knit community. My view is that there are so many possible cheats that its pretty senseless in general to worry about them. You have to assume people play fair.

It is a pretty laid back group and I think new people to this community get absorbed into the general culture.
