                  I understood all the rules except this one. If a human can convince an AI to make peace with a human there is no harm in that UNLESS the decision to accept or reject that peace is then made by an AI on behalf of said human.

                  I have never tried to convince an AI to make peace with a human and the only real advantage I can see is if the human is a pactmate where you are really trying to help them OR if the other human is being agressive and you want them to take a reputation hit by "breaking" a peace they had no part of making

                    Indeed. It would be rather annoying if you declared war on an AI, and then the next turn you would yourself mysteriously and unwanted at peace again.

                    Of course this is a pretty rare situation, but I saw it happen once in a PBEM, so I just included the rule for completeness' sake.
