My play time will usually be between GMT 00 and GMT 06, if that changes I'll let you know.

Also about rules, we are doing standard pbem rules? what about stockpile after unit (just pecause people always see that one differently, I want to be clear on it form the offset)?

Well, I think the stock trick shouldn't be used...but that's just an opinion.
I usually play between the 1500 and 2000 hours (GMT +1), But sometimes in tecno class at school I get to have a go at SMAX in the mornings...

I'm new to PBEM, so I don't quite understand the time requirement.

I'm in Australia, Brisbane, which is GMT +10.

I sleep between 16:00 and 24:00 GMT, and my ideal playing time is between 08:00 and 14:00 GMT. I'm a student, so I have some flexibility in regard to times.

I assume we email one turn per day?

I also have no idea what standard PBEM rules are.

Well, I play the game to play the game . I've some kind of never seen any sense in cheating by getting advantages by systematicaly looking for "bugs" in the game.
And I don't like playing with a calculator in front of the screen to optimize my cities, too.
Anyway, if you feel like doing so to "improve your Ego"... just go ahead

A good list of rules (IMHO) for ACAX-PBEM can be found here: CGN PBEM & Vets League tournament ruleset & standings

I guess this one is related to the link given above:

              - A player may not insert stockpile energy into the build queue after the production of a military unit. Due to a bug in the game, should you put stockpile energy into the queue, you will get the benefit of the extra energy on the same turn as production of your military unit.
I never heard about this bug before my first PBEM-Game here... again... where is the point in winning by using theses trick ???

Hmmm... I don't know what is happening here, but the forum seems to mess around with the last posting. I tried to get rid of the last (duplicate) block which is definitivly not there when I edit the posting.... but it keeps on showing up... sorry.

The stockpile rule is the one you got from the rules section. Basically, you can get a couple mins after you produce a unit, kinda like recuperating the "extra" minerals that went to the unit (since it doens't divide evenly). I just brought it up because I see it in a lot of other games, seems its one of those rules that people seem to be more ambivalent about. i'm all for NOT using this "trick" since we are mostly beginners it seems, and in any case aren't that interested in Super Micro managing.

BTW, don't we need pwords or something? *grin*

We should call someone like Googlie or Darsnan so they set the game up...

I've sent the 3 files of 2101 to zufrix.

                      please play on the game.

And I thought that passwords are set when u play your very first turn.

BTW, don't we need pwords or something? *grin*
You mean password used in the each player's turn?

So anyway please play on. I 've had enough waiting.

                      paying energy credit for production...
if u pay full amount---->unit or building done and start with next production with mineral the base gain. say if base get 10 mineral and your production is 20 mineral value then it is done (50%)

if u pay in the way that production done in one turn--->
get the production and u start next production with 0 minerals(0% done).

well maybe im stating obvious thing.
I can say that since everyone has the same game engin and nobody is likely to willing to cheat (we are all the game player, right? ), we dont need to worry about to much about the cheeting.

Just asking Lord, what is the point of asking other to set up the game? since we play on randommap, I think it is no really necessary.

Well, the first player can check the position of the next player(s) if no paswords were set previously (by a gamemaster for instance). FYI

                        But again, that's cheating.

Also, if you have a gamemaster keeping on the passwords, and someone drops suddenly out his successor can continue quicker for the GM provides the password then.

All right let us have a gamemaster.

I'd like to ask this task to geomoddler.
I will be sending the mail to him.

And the files I've sent, please forget those.

                              HINT:
                              To align tables like:

                              Code:
                              Player Faction Playtime	Email
                              --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Colonyan:	PKs 00:00-05:00 GMT	swj300 AT hotmail DOT com
                              --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Make them in notepad (so that they look good) and paste em in tag "code"

correct syntax of the tag is:

                              "[" + "code" + "]" and the ending: "[/" + "code" + "]"

I can't write the actual tag here because forum will parse it.
