I'm just curious about the PBEM games held here. Is there a FAQ that I can check out?

I'm just wondering how long games take, and what sort of commitment is needed to play. Is it one turn per day, or multiple turns per day?

    Cheers.

It takes several moth even a year or more.
You must be ponctual and inform other players
if there is any problem or an accedent.
It is almost one turn per day( in 3-4players, I think)

Well It have been 5 years since this game come out
but I'm far from played enough this game.

Hope you come often here and enjoy the game more!

Im not so familiat with computer words. What FAQ mean?

Some general rule that I know of is that every player should not hold the turn longer than 2 days. Often though, especially in the early stages of the game each player is able to forward a turn within several hours. It all depends on players availability, how often they check email everyday, interest in a particular game, etc.

Relatively often players drop from a game, and therefore usually there is a person (non-playing) a so-called CMN, who setups the whole game, keeps passwords in case someone "vanishes" for longer time. Then a replacement is in order. My experience is that games without CMN have short life, unless you play with real hard-core players. So I recommend to start with a CMN.

Depending on what you are looking for in multiplayer, you may also choose games with Role-playing elements. These are often held in here, sometimes they are "not-so-serious" where players do NOT kill each other in the first coming opportunity.

My longest games last for over a year now.
I might have seen some FAQ, but do not recall now. If you do not find any, see what replies you will get in this thread and browse other threads in this section...

I am fairly keen to join a PBEM game, so I'll keep an eye out for future games. I'm not a great fan of Alien Crossfire, but would play if necessary. I would just need to familiarise myself with pop booming.

You can always play Smax without aliens, or alternatively with original seven factions. Some game additions like spaceship wreckage or marine detachment are quite nice ones.
