I don't mind going last in the day out of those sets of turns. I am usually up until about 2AM GMT anyway.

Ok, I hope everyones read the rules and etiquette for PBEM play.

When probing an enemy please do not select "Declare vendetta". Probe operations are supposed to be secret after all. Leave it to the player to spot you up to mischief.
              No stockpile bug please either.

What about council meetings? Since diplomacy is allowed right from the beginning (I got this right, right?), does one only have to meet the AI faction and then call elections?

Interestingly enough, no. You still have to meet everyone before you can call council. You can also exchange comm freqencies as a trade.

1 note - you won't have diplomatical contact with anyone from the start - just as in SP game.

I must apologise - time issue has come up to me.
I promised to make it today, but it seems that you will get it only 2moro eve..

                          Question regarding commlinks.

I presume what you've done is that little alteration at the end of the alphax.txt which prevents communication in multiplayer, yes? How is that saved? Is it a part of the .sav file or do we need an identical alpha.txt?

Each time a scenario is created Alphax.txt is completely loaded into it. So any alterations you could make in your Alphax.txt or even {faction}.txt files will have no effect.

However, if you start a PBEM on random map (without actually creating a scenario), any changes in txt files change the gameplay.

Also - could you make up some interesting name for the turn tracking thread?

How about "Quick, Small and Dirty"?

Just a suggestion - it's not my party here...

Uhh, sadly the start of this PBEM has to be delayed even more..
I cannot force the difficulty level for some stupid, yet unknown reason. I tried all the methods I knew to do it but none worked. I will contact Darsnan for advice.
