    • Why? I had already sent you a turn where I voted for myself? JUst replay it, voting for me and hopefully it will all work

I seem to have the benefits of governorship so in the end things appear to have worked correctly

                • Hey Gang,

We have a fairly serious problem. When I opened 2182, I had four defensive units missing. These are rather critical units as they form my main defensive wall against Darsnan and in spite of our current treaty, he's continuing to move combat units to our border. I've checked the previous three turns and the units are all present and moveable; although, they don't show up under the F7 menu. I'm sure this must have happened before because I've seen it occasionally in single player. What's the procedure in a case like this because replacing these units would put a fairly serious hole in my production?

                  Regards,

                  Will

                  • Replaying?

We could send you a unit each and one unit you would make?

                    • Weird. This seems to have been a problematic game. We could try replaying as a first step I guess.

Just to eliminate the obvious, I assume there is no chance these were probed away or they were lost due to support issues ??

Were they of some different type that someone may have destroyed by obsoleting a certain type of design??

Those are the 3 most likely options although I am troubled why these units would not show up on the previous 3 turnns on the F7 screen

All good questions and ones that I asked as well. They were not probed as there are unmolested probe units in each city from which the units are missing. They were not lost due to support issues as each city owning them has surplus mineral production.

One further piece of information, they are all units that I acquired by mind controling cities which Darsnan had previously captured from my predecessor. Looking at my design workshop these units do not show up; although, I do have a unit that's exactly like them which I have not obsoleted.

If everyone is agreeable, I'm open to just having Darsnan restore them. It will be easy to verify the units in question as I can send him the previous turn for proof.

Ok-- BUt if he can restore them you should immediately "upgrade" them to a unit name which you do have. I suspect the AI obsoleted the design and that caused your problem. Your upgrade should be free if the attributes are the same.

If the rename upgrade is free, we can just backup one turn and I can upgrade them there. That would likely be faster.
