  • Looking for a Serious, Hardcore game

I've practiced games with the dudes in my college, but I own them 3 on 1 in random map games.
Are there any serious, hardcore gamers here who can beat me?

    Defining serious:
    1. You can regularily play a turn a day.
    2. Rest days, Holidays and Vacations are always good times to play SMAX.
    3. Work, School, Family, Emotions, Friends etc. will not interfere with 1.
    4. You either seriously know your stuff, or are seriously intent on learning your stuff.
    5. It's more important to win and hurt someone's feelings than lose.

Settings: whatever dudes at this site usually use

It would be nice if we could have some hardcore gaming on the weekends, and get 10+ turns done in 2 days.

So what settings do we use?
Standard map, Averate erosion, Average rainfall, Average native life, 50-70% water?
I'll go Last in the turn order, and hope no-one looks at my starting position. (Passwords aren't set until 2102)

Do we do Random factions, or set factions?
I've always liked 'rov and the Uni for AlphaCent,
        but the Caretakers for AlienCross.

The challenger chooses first, and my rivals tend to pick whatever faction I used last.
I usually do 1 on 2 or 1 on 3, so I'm fighting the Caretakers more often than I am the Caretakers.
They're not as easy to rape as the Spartan Federation, but they're still rapable - especially after Gas Pods.

After a year here you wont be so confident about your skills..

I'm sick of the amount of times I see my college rivals forgetting to rehome anything, or move their crawlers, or partial rush, or do anything that requires more than 3 seconds of thought.
I swear, Mindworms give me more trouble than these guys.

If you guys are interested in playing,
I presume we go 50-70% / Average erosion / Average rainfall / Average Life / Standard map?

I prefer map revealed and directed research.
                University is my favourite,
but I also like the Peacekeepers.

I can CMN this if you would like, or are you really brave and going for a random set-up?
