I don't think I could win an open conflict with the Hive. Anyway, you have the largest score, if I'm not mistaken, Pawel.

I played inefficiently this game. PK started to hit me hard recently and my offensive against Mirriam got thin coz of large distances and little troops. The map was I think a bit too large actually. I like large maps, but in the late game it is not so funny taking care of so many bases. and tiles.

Ivan, you were a bit too late with making defense pods. You made nut and energy ones a lot, like 13 each, but you left def pods. I think that if you made def pods as soon as you had the tech, and some planet busters, you might win. Having research at speed 1 tech/turn we had only several turns left before you would win. It was kinda a trap for you. Anyway, Pawel, could you tell how many nukes you had? How many pods would offset your buster reserves?

Might be, but, as I already said, I had no real intention to play well - just have fun..

Do you think anyone ever stops expanding after founding the 6th base?
      Nope.

Also, when I met you, Mart, in-game I saw that that wouldn't even be fair to go for a victory as I had chosen the easiest faction for your modified Alpha.txt...

You saw it clearly I think - with only 6 bases I had more ECs and faster research than you both together and after I made those 5-6 new ones, my economy was just unstoppable..

For me it would be ok if you won. So you could go for it. But I did not help you when you were attacked, that is true, but at that moment stopping your research ment longer life for Gaians...

I have only one planet buster left and terible eco damage. BT play to good in this game and You Mart help him a lot beeing pacted with him and voting for double energy from trade.
I am happy i win this game i work for it hard. (Hive- is bad faction for playing in that scenario) You have no chance to rich growth +6 but You need it if You want win game in 100 turns. or You must use PB>

You won, so I do not think Hive was that bad after all. You made some appropriate choices.

No i think that i have a lot of luck and BT to fast thinked that he already won this game. If he play in way he play usualy there is no chance to do anything. He where to powerfull.

                  Powerful???

I was a piece of sh^t in this game!

With 6bases most the time, you call me powerful?

In any other game I'd be dead soon after 60's!

Wasn't you aware that I did nothing to protect myself?

                    • Yes but because of large map planing and do somthing to You takes 30 years.
Probably, but if playing Hive, I try to put out some foils and probes as soon as I get the needed tech and then probe my enemies to see what they're up to and get all the techs from them..
Once I get OSpaceflight & Fusion Power, I'm ready to either popboom or build a couple of PB's

You could do it too, if you probed me as soon as you got the tech for it - I even wondered why didn't you do it, why did you attack PK's instead

In your place I didn't bother attacking PK's as they're AI and no real threat, but probed both humans (while trying to be as friendly as possible with AI) and then delivered a co-op attack together with PK's (you were their friend at the start, remember?)

Maybe my distant location helped a bit, but if you just gave enough help to Santiago (gaining her as your pet) and PK's in terms of tech stolen from me & Mart7x5, their combined effort could overrun me quite fast..

Also - Believers were quite succesful against Mart7x5 at the very start if you remember (they had ~30 4-2-1 & 4-2-2 troops). If they just had the tech (Fusion, SString Theory, Doc:AP) they'd do much more damage to Mart7x5. I saw his military at that time and, believe me, it was just enough to defend him..

So - I'd like to say that probes are essential for Hive, Believers, Drones and other low-research factions and if they don't use them it means they lose in tech and possibly the game too..

And if you don't believe - imagine 5 Spartan Missile rovers vs my 6 scout patrol defenses..

Well, I could upgrade them fast to 1-4-1 defenders, but if Spartans really had your help in tech and maps, they'd have not 5, but 15 of those rovers and some planes too..
                      Not mentioning PK's and Believers..

                      • I inderstand it and asure You i use probes wery offten. I also helped Spartans but they where to week to do somthing even with my techs i gave them. You have right with Pk that was mistake, but there are any living human that don't do mistakes ??

                        • But why did you didn't probe every tech out of me?

Just load transport cruiser with 4 probes and you've at least 2 new techs!
And you should have given them ALL to Spartans to make sense! (You gave only a few, and it's a mistake to give only the military ones, economic ones could help them a lot more - commerce, terraforming, SE etc.)

We all do mistakes, of course!
