If not, then Detrius just screwed me out of a tech - there WILL be payback.

And the rest of you, instead of declining as I suggested, have offered your initial techs in return.

I give CentEco to DetriusXii.
DetriusXii gives Social Psych to Zeiter.

I give CentEco to Zeiter.
Zeiter starts research on Ethical Calculus,
but stalls his tech rate to prevent researching it.
I research Planetary Networks.
Zeiter sends me Social Psych.
I research Ethical Calculus.
I give Ethical Calculus to Zeiter.
Zeiter uses accumulated tech to research Gene Splicing.

If you do not want Centauri Ecology right now, Decline the deal (or simply do nothing) and I'll resend with the pact only.
Instead, you've offered me your initial tech, which means that I can't pre-accept the pact and send.
I've lost 2 pacts for a turn. Incompetence!

I don't want Biogenetics or Industrial Base right now.
Please remove them from your trade window, place a Pact in, pre-accept and send to me.

If there are any problems with this, post so.
I think this is pretty dumbed down, but I'd rather be frustrated at your incompetence now than have to suffer its effects later.

I have a marked intolerance of errors in a plan,
especially when the fault is in others' lack of understanding the plan.

It could very well be that you've done this to:
A. Annoy me (PsyOps)
B. Slow my tech rate (Junk Techs)
C. Had a better plan
D. Were trying to be nice
But most likely
E. Didn't understand the plan

You don't know me well enough to do A.
You should have accepted CentEco before screwing me with B.
If you had a plan (C.) you would have posted it.
D. would imply you don't know what you're doing, as extra techs slow you down.

So there's definite incompetence here.

To delete a tech from the 'to trade' menu, click on it.
With Industrial base out of the way, you should have Pact (or nothing at all) trading for Pact.
Click -accept-, do turn stuff and end turn.

Later, I'll accept the pending agreement, and there will be much commercage.

I sent Zeiter the tech I was supposed to send him and he sent one back to me which I'm unsure why he did so. I accepted the offer.

I suggest you try for Secrets of the Human brain, then Centauri Empathy.
