I'm going to be a bit slow responding for the next 3 weeks, as I'll be on a skiing trip in Canada.

I've put a copy of the game on a laptop that I'll have with me, and we'll have internet acess over there, so I'll still be able to play, but I may be a bit less responsive.

Whoever called the elections should have notified thew other players. It should not be a surprise when the game is opened. This did not allow me to campaign at all & is very unfair.

Sorry about that : (. I'm not used to the conventions on this sort of thing - it is basically my first game by email (I started another first but it's going so much slower that that sort of thing hasn't really even come up yet).

I'll know next time at least. You could always just have held the turn up for a bit while you did campaign, I wouldn't have minded given that it was my fault anyway.
