I enjoy doing the broadcasts, but they're a lot of work.
There are really two problems with my keeping GNN "on the air". The set-up is sufficiently complicated that I try to record two or three at a time. I have found, however, that once the human players start interacting, it is harder to predict what is going to happen two or three years down the road.
The other problem is attitudinal. Our pace has been such that I know I've got plenty of time before my next turn, so I put off the broadcast. Life intervenes and, for one reason or another, I don't get it done before the turn arrives again. Looking back, it seems that I'm most likely to get a broadcast done when (a) I've already recorded it or (b) I do it right after playing the turn.
I'll try to write up a couple this week to get back into the habit.
You may be interested to learn that we have played 40 years in the last 169 days. (The game went to the first player--me--at 17:24 on 29 September 2003. We had not completed 2171 as of 17:24 today.)
