Hey all I have applided the 2000/ xp patch been haveing problems and wanted to take care of the problems on transcend level thought I should let you all know, will drop out if you all don't want to apply the patch (I would recommend it though)

That's ok i've been running smac/x on win2k for a while with no compatability problems.

I hadn't realised there was an issue with patched to non-patched PBEM

I think the XP patch is still considered SMAC 4.0, so we should be OK!

I've run the 2K patch for some time with no complaints from anyone. Has anyone else heard of patched vs. non-patched problems?
