In the Alien Crossfire manual it states the the cyborgs can steal research when conquering a base. When Ive played this faction however this is not the case unless the "steal tech when conquering a base" options is selected when starting a new game. That applies to ALL factions though. Recently ive been looking at the cyborg.txt file for the cyborgs. I noticed that the TECHSTEAL, 0, option, which allows a tech steal on a base conquer, is not in Faction Bonus rules part of the cyborg.txt file.
has anyone else noticed this? Is this an error that shipped with the game? Or is the manual stating such incorrect? would putting this option in be considered cheating in respect to MP? Can users make these types of mods and still use them in MP?
