Happy to help out. Ps I don't think I made it clear but I python as well as do image work. but I am happy if I stick with the wiki. I might dip in to other stuff occasionally time dependent.

You python and image work? We've no people who can do any kind of graphics and not many who already know python (One or two at most). I'm sure you'll contribute in the way you decide best but are you sure admin work is the best use of your knowledge?

I think you need to give us an introduction. The rest of us already had a rough idea of each otherse skills and have already discussed C4:AC already, hence the thread got off to a flying start. You said you've done mod work before?

participants can register an account now, at a later point user registration can be turned off with only the (wiki) admins being able to create a new user

it was up, and then it went down again. Regarding intro I work as a web developer for various sites, specialising in open source customization. (basically I mod for a living! lol)

I love smac, thats why I am here to help. I don/t have a lot of time, but when I do I will be glad to dip in.

That sounds interesting. Could you give us a couple of examples?

And btw: we really can use someone who knows how to organize a wiki. I've worked on an other opensource game (still in discussion phase) and after 3 months we had to abandon the wiki because it was a complete mess. All pages were good, but there was no structuring at all or any way to browse the pages. The main page we used to find pages was the "last modified" index. So if a page was not edited for about a month, most of us forgot such a page actually existed.

So: could somebody please share the knowledge on how to organize a wiki so it stays usefull and as easy to navigate as a normal website (ie: with a navigation bar or something)...
