    Sorry I havent posted but i went on a short holiday. Can you post your e-mail address and I will mail you the terrain.pcx. Okay I will do the SP, facilities, etc
    Here is an idea.
    For the faction diplomaccy loggos, I may be able to get the animated heralds from Civ2 and use them for faction diplomacy logos, if you need them, making it more of a true Civ 2.45.

      Also can I have a go at the techlong techshort.txt, this should be easy, just copy it from Civ2

        Krusty, AlexIII- Who says we have to change the look of all the units? None of us have 3d Studio MAX or even aspire to. So the chariot will look like an impact speeder. Big deal. Anyway, at least a dozen of the units can be given bitmaps instead.

              But there`d still the problem of Xenofungus, I thought perhaps it could be slums(or similar) with the worms being rioters. This would also work with the construction of the spacecraft (Ascent to Transcendance) as the riots that caused mankind to leave would be simulated.

                Actually, I think that Xenofungus would be perfect tundra/permafrost. There are no real polar regions in SMAC but I remember there are real ice caps in CivII. The only bad thing about this is how to stop it's growth. Is there anything you can change in alpha.txt to stop its growth?

                        I'm well on the way of doing the techs and Units. Parker, maybe you should slim it down to a list of seven or fourteen before we try to hunt for quotes. So you want easy Quotables? Caesar, Abe Lincoln, Catherine the Great, Mao and a few others are great for quotes.

                            heardie: The sound is the easiest job. Just convert all the .wavs to the appropriate .mp3s.
