Any chance you could sen with the map a texture.pcx file with earthlike terrain? One solution might be that instead of making the "base color" of all terrains more greenish then the brown Alpha Centauri surface. . . St. Leo, your a good mod creator
You probably have your own "plane like" greenish texture. Also, can you make it so forest's dont grow, but start out as a premade terrain? That would be cool . . .

I'll see what I can do, but I was just planning to make a simple map. I haven't really dug around the files much yet.:-)
