If those ogres are a problem, just remake them in the #UNITS section as something more mainstream ingame and link their outlook flag to 'automatic graphics' instead of linking to the UNITS.pcx file. They will still popup with some pod pops of course, but are not out of intended story anymore

Maybe all unity pods might be renamed as "Relic sites" or something like that. The "old" monoliths might be just those resuply stations. There is still issue what with those earth forests there, but maybe they are not so much earth only?

Now that you're here - please read my review on porgramming the AI SE, as well as the discussion about whether any human looking faction should be given "alien" flag.
You should give opinion about both those issues and if you make some clues I can program a good SE line for all the AIs as well as program AIs to behave "alienlike" while not being ALIEN, 0.
