Altering the "turn increment"

Is it possible to change the "turn increment" in SMAC/X; say from years to months?

As far as I tried, no.

The only thing you can change is the MY or Mission Year to another label, say day, week, month or decade

Drat. It would be nice to have the turns take "decimal months" instead of entire years.
