Because of the high cpu load when playing SMAX I have tried to use a little program called CPU THROTTLE that is supposed to fix this. It works well with Civ2
and according to the maker of the utility it will work with SMAC too. It kind of works without the unofficial patch but crashes when its applied.
Anyone have a clue on this? Its a shame that the game runs like bloatware on
modern computers. Like many other older games.
