Saves/Screenshots for a newb

I'm wondering if there are any saves or screenshots I can look at to see how one should progress through the years and what the general lay out of bases/crawlers/terraforming looks like so as to improve my game.

Older threads like this http://apolyton.net/showthread.php/7...s-Builder-Game seem to be gone, so if anyone has any working ones that would be appreciated.

you'll find many saves as well as the comments of the players involved. someone has even posted a final save.
