Blue Blue Blue - Colour stupidity (HELP!)

Hello everyone!

Recently I started a new Game featuring only Factions which are bad at research (including several Hives and 2 Drones).
Unfortunatly I forgot that now each Hive has the same colour, which due to interfaction settling makes Diplomacy and Warfare fairly difficult.

I was wondering if I can change the Factions colours in a running game?

I vaguely thought alpha.ini was involved but did not get any results.

Does anyone know how the colours can be changed midgame?

I don't know, all I know is you could name the factions at game start, if not through the game, then by editing some txts.

On a related note, I once took 7 morganite factions for a ride. Turned out pretty well, business was booming and commerce hit the roof. Until they could no longer contain their eco stuff ^^

The colors are set in the one of the PCX files for the faction, the only way I know of to change the color is to edit the PCX file (which I do not know how to do) then then every Hive faction would have the same new color.

Thanks, next Time i will just use the FactionEditor to create carbon copies of the Factions i want to use and assign different Graphic Sets =)

Doesn't the scenario editor allow you to change the names/references of each individual faction? You could then do that and simply right click on every unit to find out who's who.
